70/30 is fine in my opinion.

I don't blame either side for trying to negotiate at this point, since it's still nearly a year away. But hopefully commonsense prevails and we get the fight, after all both Canelo and GGG need each other to a certain extent.

 

I bet Golovkin would sign right now for a 20-25% split. But there is a reason why GBP ain't offering that. They simply don't want Alvarez in the ring with Golovkin. It'd be a total domination and destruction of Alvarez. Canelo fans deep down are afraid of this fight and would rather it didn't happen.

No offence anyone, and the same goes for the all the other threads on the topic, but I'm rather sick of talking about the Canelo-GGG split.There hasn't been any news for a while, and the fight is not until 09/17. LOTS of negotiations will occur before then, so there's no point in getting worked up right now.

Let's see what happens and please don't open any more threads unless you have new info to post (same goes for a number of pro-GGG and pro-Canelo threads).

 

Right GGG would take a small % of the split since Canelo is the A side.

 

Had him pinged long ago as one of the posters boys for why this sport is so farked this days.

Yep that's what I thought 70/30,imagine though if that was the deal and it actually turned out less than 10mill?i can't see that though as Oscar has lately said they're negotiating and it's being done privately so to me that says Oscar knows the value of the fight and by the sound of it it's a fight Canelo needs to make as much as GGG,not saying Canelo doesn't have opponents cause he does,Brook,Lara,all the other 154 guys that he should of fought instead of Liam Smith,another lucrative but pointless fight with Cotto,the list goes on but because Canelo and Oscar have said things in the ring and outside about GGG and also his actions in paying step aside money and dropping the middleweights division most coverted belt he has to respond to that by facing GGG and I for one don't hate Canelo and still think he gives Golovkin his biggest test to date.
