Let's say Whyte beats the odds and lands a left hook that puts Fury to sleep. What then? How does the HW landscape change?
When* Fury can tune him up in a rematch then claim and boast about being a 3x HW champ That's what AJ does, loses then boasts about being a 2x.
If this happens Fury becomes over rated that night. Whyte really isn't good, but he's big and can punch. He isn't too old either. Two things that are rare for this oppenents. Fury fans know Whyte is the 3rd to 4th best he's fought an really not a grade A defense. He'd better win or watch out. Its not like he's fighting Usyk, AJ, or Ruiz. These would be grade A defesense because the beat somebody. He has wisely avoided the newer talent like Joyce, Hrgovic, Yoka, and Jalolov
As far as I'm aware there isn't a rematch clause. So you'd imagine Hearn would set up Joshua V Whyte 2 and possibly 3. Joshua walking away as WBC champion.
If my grandmother had wheels she'd be a bike Whyte cannot beat Fury under any circumstances This thread is pointless because it won't happen
I wouldn't say that. All it takes is one punch at HW. I'm sure nobody thought Rahman would knock Lewis out.
Fast Eddie will freeze Fury out of the picture. I would think he'd feed Whyte a couple of defences while waiting for the outcome of Joshua's rematch with Usyk. It is highly unlikely to happen but I will say that Whyte will not be a walk in the park for Fury.
If Whyte wins Fury by any chance, he will be avoided by other fighters because he will be more appreciated and respected...
If Whyte beat Fury then it wouldn’t look good for this era of HWs down the line. Many will point to Ruiz beating AJ and Whyte beating Fury as to why this whole era was weak.
Why? Fury could rematch and win, just like Joshua did. Look at the fighters that ended up beating the likes of Lewis then got rematched and beat heavily.
Less than 3 weeks to go and there is no under card and no promotion for this "sold out" fight at Wembley. Something stinks and I am getting the same feeling I had before the Wilder Fury fight last summer. The one that got moved back and almost cancelled. I see this getting postponed a week or two before the fight.
There is no rematch clause. It COULD happen but if Whyte somehow magically beat Fury, would Whyte really fight him again ? Or would he give Fury the cold shoulder and fight the winner of Joshua/Usyk (Usyk obviously)
I don't get this... you can't really believe this yourself, knowing it's HW boxing, and Fury even came close to losing to Wallin of all people. That's one reason why they broken the bank for this fight, to make sure Fury is protected from incidents and fights on their network. Accidents happen
