If Whyte hurt Joshua you better believe Usyk can too.

When Usyk moves he's not hittable. Gassiev landed about 2 good punches in 12 rounds. Glowacki landed about 2-3 good punches, same with Huck if we're generous.

In the Briedis fight Usyk chose wrong strategy, he stood and traded punches with the fighter that KTFO'd 245 lb Manuel Charr.

In WSB Joe Joyce and Medjidov couldn't land a punch on Usyk. Yes the same Medjidov that landed plenty on AJ. Usyk ain't hittable if he moves.

    he
got knocked down by a feather fisted, washed up cw, and a featherfisted, bum, hw. he also got put on ***** street by a jab from feather fisted bum Firtha. his glass jaw is more documented than Wilder's.

He didn't get knocked out though and won both the fights. You can't really say someone has a glass jaw until they're KO'd or lose the fight after being shaken up by the knockdown.

Yep agreed. Usyk sometimes likes to press and that leaves him in range and even then he's not that hittable. But when he uses his legs he's a very hard fighter to land on, that might change when he fights much taller guys but then these fights where he presses more might give him the experience needed to cut off the ring vs taller fighters.

Not me, I think it's a weird thing to say until someone is actually KO'd or loses the fight as a result of being hit with a big shot.

All of those guys he moved against aren't Joshua though, who is pretty mobile. Movement is one thing, but that strategy will be difficult to employ for 12 rounds against someone who has a height and reach advantage and at any time can simply choose to walk through the pitter patter arm punches. Usyk will need to sit down on those shots to deter a 240+lb man, which then opens him up to counter shots.

I've only watched the Briedis fight the once when it happened and from memory Briedis was cutting the ring off pretty well and not allowing Usyk to use his movement that effectively.

well, when you get wobbled by a jab from a featherfisted bum. when you get put down heavily from a feather fisted bum you specifically chose and called out. when you get put down hard from a nearly 40 year old cw who is feather fisted. when he gives you a boxing lesson and you have to lay on him with your 270 lbs of blubber to wear him down. he just isn't worth a damn. against Wlad he got lucky Klitschko didn't throw. he avoided the contracted rematch like his life depended on it. pretty sure when Wlad said last week he might return, he only means to fight fury.

Usyk is no where nearn Dillians punch power.

Usyk isna volume puncher... hes a guy that prefers to pity pat and land on his target with a punch rather than power.punch and not land.

Whyte is interesting as he somewhere between a power puncher and a volume puncher in that he wears his opponents down by throwing stinging shots before going for the power shots. Which is really good tactic and technique.

I enjoy watching him wear down and punish opponents to the body and with the jab.

You need to rewatch the Breidis fight, Usyk was pressing way more than usual in that fight and as the fight went on he was the one pushing Briedis back. He clearly had a game plan to press more, he was taking the centre of the ring at every opportunity and even when he moved away he quickly came back in and tried to press Briedis. He probably thought pushing Briedis back would make him less effective.

Joshua's is light on his feet but he forgets to move a lot of the time. He looked good vs Takam and Parker and moved well but he had opponents who moved away from him a lot of the time and didn't test his movement much because they were happy to keep him at a distance. Povetkin pressed and it made Joshua look very stationary and easy to hit. Savon in the Olympics danced circles around Joshua too, making him look slow footed.

I'm a big Joshua fan, in fact he's my favourite fighter now but I think Usyk is a dangerous fight. If Joshua wins it's because of size and power not skill because Usyk is the more skilled fighter by far.

People say he pity pat punches but he does that for a reason. He varies his power more than a lot of fighters. He lulls fighters into not reacting to those light shots and so when he does deliver a hard shot it a surprise and has more effect. Then when they wise up to that they start reacting to everything including those pity pat shots which allows him to set traps and land more counters.

Whyte I think is a solid puncher and as you say likes to throw a lot, but I think he's more than just a volume puncher. He's sneaky with that left hand, an opponent might be able to take all those other shots but if he catches you right with that sneaky left hook counter, you better have a good chin or you're going down.
