How would they be judged now and in years to come when all the current emotion and bias is gone, how would history judge their careers?

Wilder will be known as the guy who at the very least held the WBC strap hostage and at worst led to a huge decline in revenue for HW fighters.

Less titles, double the fights but weaker resume, lesser known despite being from a much larger country, traditionally referred to as the 'Mecca of Boxing'.

If anyone wants to argue against the above with facts then please do......

But please don't argue with opinions like 'Boxing is bigger in the UK'.
Especially when facts like the number of fights in a year, number of differrent promotions, number of PPV's and price of PPV's completely disagree with that.

Joshua? The saviour for HW fighters to get paid again. It could be argued that he wouldn't have been needed if Fury didnt go off the rails....But he's the flammable glue that has held the division, whilst reigniting the sport on a global scale since Mayweather's retirement.

HW fighters will be far more grateful to Joshua than anyone else.

To be honest they'd probably both drop off the radar pretty quickly. Wilder has a longer but worse resume. AJ has a better resume but its super short. Whoever is the next big thing at HW, would eclipse them within a couple of years. Fanboys would be bringing them up for decades though, in mythical matchups where their size and power is supposed to win out.

It takes consistency and facing all comers over a long period to build a legacy.

    Agreed with the consistency part.

That is why the guy with 20 fights and higher standard of opposition than the guy with 40 will have slightly more longevity.

Neither will be remembered as they'd like to though.

    And that's sad for fans.....

We dont hear today of constant calls about who was best from the Lewis/Tyson era......
Tyson doesnt get heckled about losing to Lewis.....People dont look down on Holyfield for his losses.

'Boxing fans' just remember the fights these legends put on in an epic era.

Joshua reignited the sport on global scale? Hahhahaha nobody outside of UK know who joshua is . Wlad, wilder are better known in US than Joshua so is canelo , GGG and more boxers are better known than AJ. He is literally unknown in US and globally less known than Klits ,all AJ has for now is his delusional fans , his win after going down against shot past prime 41yo Wlad and his gold medal from london olympics that he never won, but got it as a gift.

Wilder - bum beater who fought one good fighter in his career

Joshua - hypejob who began to legitimise himself with wins over Wlad and Parker, and may have gone on to be something special

One KO`d one of the greatest heavyweights of all time in his 19th fight and other had their best win in fight #40 by beating a fat old bloke with no title. Mmmm this is a real tough one.
