No and False. Wilder beats Fury his resume does not trump Joshuas and Ortiz does not beat everybody on Joshuas resume
Pedvetkin without the drugs almost got KTFO by Price lmao. I guess you could make an argument of Pedvetkin post-Wlad to being caught on peds as being on the same level as Ortiz, but Povetkin? Hell no.
Before facing Wilder, Ortiz violently stopped Allen who went the distance with Whyte. Before facing Joshua, Povetkin struggled with and looked poor against Rudenko and Hammer, and struggled against Price.
No Cuban was watching Ali-Holmes period. Because they're a repressive Communist government that didn't allow anything that occurred in the US to be broadcast there, much less live.
sorry please remind me: How many titles has Ortiz won? How many top 10 opponents has he beaten? How many Olympic gold medals does he have? ooooooooooooooopppsss!
Nice but brutally transparent deflection, I completely destroyed your counterpoint, and you play the politics card. When what Cuban fighters were watching on state owned Commie TV stations are in question... yeah, we can talk about politics.
I'm well aware of his resume and have seen Ortiz's fights pre-Wilder. Yeah, he got some more favorable results than some other guys against common opposition. Styles make fights... I thought we all knew better than leaping to conclusions based on triangle logic? To me the guy has just never looked this ultra dangerous and skillful alpha male world beater that many of the rest of you see. He's another gifted and well-schooled but lazy Cuban. None of his performances (except maybe against Wilder) have distinguished him from guys in that same mold that came before him, like Odlanier Solis. I'm just not smelling the same pheromones as y'all, I guess. Just because he beat Jennings better than aging Wlad doesn't mean Ortiz > aging Wlad. I would pick even the Joshua version of Klitschko to beat Ortiz h2h. Not saying he isn't upper echelon in this division, but many see in him a genuine elite, which I simply don't. The fact that he and Wilder fought on even terms is to me proof more that Wilder is a sub-par champ than proof that Ortiz is a monster.
How did I know you'd play the triangle theory card. I was envisioning this response when I was writing that post. Yeah I know styles make fights, but Jesus H. Christ, this is Dave Allen we're talking about here, he's terrible, any style is terrible for him, now why couldn't Whyte get him out of there? Much less start going backward late in the fight. Same goes for Parker, I mean Cojanu is pure ass, Ortiz did what he was supposed to do, but.... why couldn't Parker, he had 12 rounds to get the job done and couldn't, that's just friggin sad. That's all I'm saying. As far as Jennings goes, I agree totally, but I think AJ-Ortiz would be 50/50, especially the scared shitlesss version as of late.
