If he rematches Ortiz, or takes on Miller/Pulev he is ducking Fury.

Look, Wilder has a long list of avoided opponents.

Chisora, Wlad, Haye, Povetkin, Whyte, Joshua, Parker have all tried to arrange fights with Wilder.

Last night was another example of a Wilder cherry pick.

He turned down a fight with Chisora when he was promoted by Warren.
He turned down a career high pay day against WBC higher ranked challenger Whyte to fight Stiverne II.
He flat out refused to fight Wladimir Klitschko.
He used 'Povetkin is a drug cheat' as an excuse to get out of that fight.....But had no issue fighting 2 time drug cheat Ortiz when King Kong looked shot.
He told the media he had $50,000,000 to offer Joshua, when last night Wilder wasn't even guaranteed $5,000,000.
    He never went near Haye.
He actually had Parker attend one of his fights in the States, so they could discuss a unification....That went nowhere.

Last night he saw Fury as a man who had been inactive for over 2 years.
Who had abused his body with a cocktail of drugs, alcohol and unhealthy eating.

It was a cherry pick, which went wrong.

Wilder/Fury II at Wembley would be huge.

It wouldnt surprise me at all if Finkel ducks the rematch, and goes after the fight against AJ for the big money.

However it also wouldnt surprise if they refuse to travel and insist AJ comes to the USA. If that happens then the AJ never fight never happens, because as an A side they are not stupid enough to travel to the USA and get robbed.

We could then be left with Wilder defending his belt against the moderate level contenders he was facing prior to the Ortiz fight, until the time comes when his reflexes deteriorate with age and he gets knocked sparked out.
That is my actual prediction on how his career goes from now on. Based on this we eventually see Fury vs AJ, if Fury can stay healthy and active.

I would ideally like Fury-Wilder II right away, but I'm realistic enough to acknowledge that both guys may have one or two fights in the interim. That's the way it happens sometimes: Morales-Barrera II, Marquez-Pacquiao II, Bowe-Holyfield II, Leonard-Hearns II none of these sequels happened immediately. This means one of the guys involved was a fraud who wanted to duck the other? I mean that's the logic of the original post. The reality is that the fight game is really complicated and sometimes the best fights don't happen immeidately and it isn't either fighter's fault.

The biggest reason I think the original post was irrational is that Wilder has already fought Fury. Sooooo this isn't like Tommy Burn jumping on a boat going around the world to avoid Jack Johnson or Tony Zale clinging to the color line to avoid the Black Murderers row. If he was afraid of Fury I doubt he would have just fought him in a 12 round world title.

Why wait? All the proof is already down on his resume. His career has clearly been fabricated. Outboxed by everybody who he's faced ranked inside the top 50 of the division.

He's a fraud and people been calling it for years. No way he faces either Brit next. Finkel shat himself on Saturday.

Fury won. We all saw it even team wilder knew it too. Only 1 of them put their hands up at the end of the fight, wilder knows he lost.

AJ should offer Fury an obscene amount of money, pay Wilder his paltry step-aside and claim undisputed and lineal.
Everyone just saw Wilder get beat so 'unifying' with the WBC belt now doesn't mean sh1t without a W over Fury.

I think Fury vs AJ is next in a HUGE UK fight and Wilder goes back into the shadows fighting nobodies as the unknown champion again

Unless the WBC order the rematch which won’t happen if wilder’s team don’t want it to, I think both men will now push for the AJ fight. Tyson already said this morning on UK TV that he wants that fight and how big it will be etc and Wilder said in the post fight presser he wants it as well...

I picked Fury on points, I have said repeatedly he was the worst match up for Wilder. I don’t understand the point of your post?

Wilder fought a Fury who hasn't been in serious competition for over 2 years.
Who's last fight went the distance in a boring fight with domestic level Pianeta....Who actually surprisingly caught Fury a couple of times.

Wilder jumped at the chance to fight that version of Fury.....
Now he's just been outboxed by him, and gifted a draw, he doesn't seem to be so desperate for a rematch, against a Fury which can only be better.

Wow you're an impressive psychologist if you can divine whether Wilder wants the rematch or not!

The crazy thing is, I actually like Fury better than I like Wilder, who I find arrogant and cringey, but level of bias being shown by Wilder's detractors is actually pretty crazy.

Yes, it is true that Fury outboxed Wilder for large portions of that fight and he did deserve to win in my opinion. But you can't forget that Wilder dropped him twice and nearly decapitated him the second time. With a different ref that fight would have been stopped while Fury was stiffened up in the twelfth. In boxing history has anyone ever come closer to winning by kayo without actually getting the kayo as Wilder did at that moment?

I'm sure Wilder knows he has a lot to improve on in order to beat Fury, but he's an unbeaten champion with an Olympic medal and two knockdowns over Fury. I highly doubt he's scared of a rematch.

After Marquez vs. Pac I half this forum was convinced Marquez was scared and didn't fancy a rematch. The other half was sure that Pacquiao was the one who was afraid. Both sides were convinced the series would never be resolved. They ended up fighting three more times. Maybe don't be so sure you can see inside the brain of a championship caliber fighter...
