Let's say for example, after their draw, Fury once again dropped off the boxing scene for whatever reason s.
So Wilder still has only that draw on his cv.
Question is, Do you see Wilder still unbeaten today?
And if not, who got him.?
He could have had at least 3 maybe 4 title defence by now, so is he still THE MAN??
    OR NOT?

Well, if he talked normally after 2 nd fight, most likely he had been understand and might agree with 3 rd fight vs Fury and maybe also take some other fight after this before 3 rd vs Fury.
Bad or not bad, looked he is willing to fight and is watchable.

His talking ruined all, not Fury II fight.

If Wilder didnt take the second Fury fight he would have gone back to cherry picking as is his way.

He never wanted the toughest fights, he wanted a perfect record by matching up against guys he was sure he could beat.

Not saying that is wrong, its smart, just saying that it hurts the game of boxing by billing a guy as the best who never stepped up and got a win over the best guys. BS for us fans paying to watch the best vs the best.

I think if Wilder hadn't faced Fury, he would have taken Kownacki.
I think he would have laid it down without difficulty. Afterwards he would probably have faced Charles Martin who could have given him more trouble.

If Wilder has fought Povetkin in Russia back in a day instead of running away 1 day before the fight he would have been KOed long time ago.

Wilder would have gone straight back to finding opponents in the old age home or the fat farm and his deluded fans would still be fellating him as invincible and as a generational talent. There would be an outside chance that one of his cherrypicks might go wrong as it nearly did with Ortiz but probably not.

He'd probably have taken on some more clowns like Bald Bull or Soda Popinski.

Windmill would have taken on the Tijuana Tyrant Christopher Lovejoy for a 50:50 epic bout that would be talked about for decades to come.

He might have ended up eventually against Joshua or Ruiz, one of whom he might have actually beat.

That's precisely what he'd do. But wonder how long he remains unbeaten.

I think Wilder could have amassed quite the record against WBC top 15 fighters:

    Early 2020: Adam Kownacki (PBC)

    Followed by:
Late 2020/early 2021: Charles Martin (PBC)

Maybe then time for a big WBA/WBC unification fight:
Summer 2021: Trevor Bryan (Don King)

Maybe a rematch thrown in or a defence against an up and comer:
Late 2021/early 2022: Frank Sanchez (PBC)

The WBC might call a 3rd mandatory at this point, so things get difficult to predict.

He's been on borrowed time for a long time. So who knows. If he kept the same level of woeful competition going then maybe - but it's far from impossible that one of these no hopers would have just ended up upsetting him anyways.

Charles Martin is far from a sure win.

Lol Charles Martin is the easiest fight out there for Wilder. Made to order for the straight right.

    Still easy pickings for him

Charles Martin is a crack head ffs
