If Wilder is who he says he is he would still take the fight and fight Ortiz

He claims Oscar did. But I'm guessing he's talking about how he faced both vargas and Shane while juiced. Big difference there, oscar only found out AFTER the fights.

I really don't know what the rules are today but there were plenty of heavyweight champions who fought without the title being on the line.

This was a prime opportunity for Deonkey to win in the Court of public opinion and take a fight he could have won with his youth and power. Yet he pulls another self righteous ***** move doing his best silver screen jilted diva impersonation.

How fitting would it be for this guy to fail a drug test one day himself?

You mean in the last 100 years? Such as?

(Not even sure that happened more than a century ago, but just to keep it somewhat modern.)

A presciption drug for blood pressure is not a PED. A doctor explained it, why VADA called it a PED is a puzzle to him. Well, I predicted that Ortiz would be framed, but explain how a blood pressure med would help a person win a fight? I predicted that Ortiz would be framed because Old Man Ortiz is a threat, same as Povetkin was, and VADA cleared Povetkin, but it's the WBC's job to protect Wilder. 5 voluntary title defenses in a row. Wilder will get out of fighting Joshua also, Joshua should be careful, or he might be framed also. Joshua will knock Wilder out and Wilder knows it.

It's a diuretic masking agent - it flushes PEDs through the body more rapidly. Diuretics reduce the "glow time" of a PED regime - the period after each microdose of, say, HGH or EPO, during which you would test positive / have a sufficiently abnormal biological passport profile to merit further invesitgation.

Supposedly all of Armstrong's US Postal teammates used to wear big diving watches that they would set with the "glow time" after each dose. For that peiod they had to avoid drug testers like the plague. There are accounts of Tyler Hamilton etc hiding under porches, "accidentally" locking themselves in toilets etc if the testers visited unexpectedly, waiting for the glow time to expire. Taking diuetics that reduce that time is hence pretty useful - reduces the window of vulnerability. Saline IV drips achieve the same result - hastening the flushing out of PEDs - which is why they are banned / need a emergency TUE - saline is obviously not a PED but it helps disguise PED taking.

No the way the doctor explained it. He said there was very little diuretic in, not enough to make a difference...............I think there is a hearing on it tomorrow. Wilder did not want to fight Ortiz anyway...................he does not want to fight Joshua either, they will frame Joshua if they can......................Joshua will knock Wilder out, that's why Wilder will not show up for the fight. The alley still has some winos left...............

If there was very little diuetic, it might mean he took a substantial dose a comparatively long time ago - not that he took a negligable amount or his sample was contaminated. He has previous for drug taking... fool me once....

It's not Wilder's call to take the fight or not.

High blood pressure medication is only dangerous if you stop taking it.

Really sad that we are missing out on a good fight because someone might have used something to mask something.

What a joke, in a court of law you have to be proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt but these drug testing jokers have no accountability.

The system needs to be fix because the only loser is us fans..

What's actually proven is that he failed the drug test, nothing more.

If his heart seriously has issues, then boxing ain't for him. In the court of law, he's already been caught so no sanctioning body would sanction this farce.

Why should Wilder have to deal with these unnecessary risks of someone masking PEDS?

Even if it's not that, why should he take that chance? Ask yourself this, would you fight someone who has failed multiple times in the past and of course yet again!
