They’d have to do it again. But really, Fury already beat him twice.

I think the winner will face Joshua unless Usyk beats Joshua, in which case it would be Fury/Wilder IV.

When Wilder beats Fury in their third fight and becomes the Lineal, Ring and two-time WBC Heavyweight Champion, the WBC will insist he fight Dillian Whyte next. And he will.

A fourth fight with Fury won't come right away. Not for several years.

I think Aj fight would be the likely outcome and I would also prefer that

Wilder will run a mile from Fury IV if he gets lucky enough to win this one (and it'll take luck for him to win it).

If Wilder wins, WBC will magically come up with a bunch more "final" eleminators for Whyte so Wilder can go back to smashing bums in voluntary defences... Belt effectively held hostage, again.

I'd like to think this isn't what happens, but realistically it's hard to imagine anything else in the event that Wilder somehow wins.

Whyte might have been added to the bums list himself, after getting sparked by an old man.

He did land it, but he wasn't getting the leverage because Fury took that space from Wilder. Smart tactic. I don't think Wilder has developed the side movement and footwork to create the space he would need to land his bomb. The betting man in me says, Wilder won't see the second half of the fight.

When Wilder beats Fury, Fury will be added to the "bums" list. And when Wilder signs to fight a mandatory against Whyte, Whyte will be added to the "bums" list.

Doesn't matter that Fury is the Ring/Lineal champ. Doesn't matter that Whyte is currently #3 Ring contender. Bums. All Bums. Wilder only fights bums. Just bums. And, if he fights Joshua, Joshua will be a bum, too. They all make the "bum" list around here.

Sure, I'd want to see a fourth fight. I like to see a series between two evenly matched opponents. That's the best thing in boxing. The more fights the better. This one off bull**** is awful.

If Wilder lands that lucky punch, then a rubber match there should be.
I won't necessarily agree with it, as Fury very obviously won the first fight.
And I can't see Wilder fans liking the idea of a rubber match either for obvious reasons.

I don't seeing thay lucky punch landing though. Wilder hit Fury with everything he had in No1 and Fury got up and battered him for the rest of their meetings.

    I see you've set off Deontays #1 fan...:risas3:

Seriously though - Whyte seems to have gone off the boil a bit at times... Come in noticeably out of shape, too. The Povetkin loss highlights that he's not impossible to knock out, but it has to be said he was dominating that fight until Povetkin managed to connect with a superb punch - he then dominated the rematch too.

Even so, he'd still be easily the best win on Wilders resume if Deontay did land that hail mary, and it'd go some way towards fixing that weak resume Wilder has...

He would add to Wilder's resume. Obviously not as significantly in this particular hypothetical scenario where Wilder regains his title from Fury !
I'm not convinced Whyte should be regarded as any better than Ortiz anyway, to be honest.

Very dangerous fight for Wilder. He seriously risks his health against Fury. If last time Gipsy King blasted his eardrum this time he makes Wilder deaf for life.

True, if he beats Fury then Whyte would be #2 on the list.

Honestly, Whytes resume is far better than Ortiz' - Ortiz looks decent enough but against who? Outboxing Wilder isn't that difficult with any level of skill, you just have to avoid that right (and very few have) and the next best he's been in with is Jennings...

Another outside possibility is: The fight goes 12 rounds and ends in a Draw...again. Then what?

Or...The fight goes 12 and the scores are: Fury 118-110, Wilder 115-114, Wilder 115-114, with the majority of fans favoring Judge one's card? Then Fury-Wilder IV is almost a certainty.

I love boxing! Maybe Joshua and Usyk can get a trilogy going.
