    Romanov is 14 (10)-0, and holds an amateur knockout win over the Bomber.

    Romanov is only 6 feet, and his best win is a good but not eye-catching win over Dillon Carmen, one of my favorite gate-keepers.

    I have long criticized Wilder for his poor opposition, but he is no longer the champ, can use a good rebuilder or two, and I think it would make a statement to fight a guy who beat him as an amatuer.

    None of those options are realistic , Romanov isn’t relevant right now even if one wants the fight or not.

    I look at Romanov as the amateur fighter he was then and gets knocked out , way to many holes defensively it would be like putting Wilder in 2009 against even Hughie Fury now , with no knockout of course .

    I think Wilder would win. Romanov is way too bloated and slow at HW. Fights not going to happen but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it did.

    By look of Romanovs record Wilder would have to go to Russia to fight him, our Evgeny is not the greatest of travellers.

    Nah. Even for Wilder that's a rung too low. Fury is quite likely the best HW of this generation soI'd much rather we see him in a fight that shows his true level. Probably not too likely but I'd prefer it if he were to face one of the leading contenders. Whyte, Ruiz or Parker, then we'd really know if he was a protected pretender or if he deserves his status as a top 3 HW.

    Romanov isn't the same as the younger amateur version that stopped Wilder. He is WAY slower, less fluid, over-bulked up at this point, and stiff. Wilder would smoke this dude early.

    Romanov can punch so Wilder will have no interest in this fight.

    Wilder will be back to fighting the likes Wallin, Kownacki and Ajagba level types.
