Needs to rematch Charlie Z and The Worm before any HOF stuff is talked about...

Lewis revenged all his losses and Wlad got his brother to avange his so Wilder needs to do that too..

Surely he needs to actually beat somebody good to be considered anything. Only real name on there is Tyson Fury and Fury beat him. Well, it was a draw but Fury beat him.

Have to call it fair.. The HW division with the exception of certain eras has always been thin.. So a lot guys whose considered great have light resumes.. If you consider Vitali Klitschko a HOFer then Wilder is a HOFer.. I personally believe these next two years will be critical for Wilder to be considered a HOFer.. If he beats Ortiz, Fury and or AJ/Ruiz then he should be..

No he is still just a contender until he is the number one guy in the division. Fury is number one on The Ring and Boxrec right now, and it was Joshua before then, he never fought Joshua, and he lost to Fury, so Wilder is still just a heavyweight contender.

No way, he won the belt against Stiverne, one of the worst HW champs I recall, and the only legitimate contender that he beat since then is Ortiz, who at the time was way past it. Wilder needs to KO Fury (won't win otherwise), win against Joshua/Ruiz to unify and maybe beat some of the up-and-coming big guns like Ajagba/Hrgovic in the future. Then we may rank him up there with HW greats.

I'd be happy if he beat 5 top ten heavyweights

It would be nice to see him beat one prime good HW, but I dont think its happening.

Carnival fat man, hobo, another fat guy*, mentally ill idiot, hobo, grandpa, hobo, pastry chef, soccer thug, hobo ... it's totally doable, assuming he can get past the soccer thug which I think he will.

*Unless fat guy #2 is Ruiz in which case Wilder will have to get a new job.

If he were to beat Ruiz, AJ & rematch with Fury, I'd consider him the hardest puncher in the history of boxing, feeling that he can't win any other way.
The Gr8 HW's as few as there are, had more than just plan A. Really tough to call someone an ATG by means of a major punch. HOF=Yes.

Not at the moment, no. He has a shout though.

If he legitimately beats Ruiz, Fury, Joshua, and a couple of other names or upcoming guys that go on to make waves in the division once he retires then only the saltiest brine-soaked haters could deny him a spot.

It's not like the HOF is particularly prestigious or hard to get into though. Arturo Gatti is in it FFS.

No HW fighter that has fought within this last 5 years (Sans Wlad) is on a trajectory to be a HOF'er let alone an ATG.

Vitaly beat much better fighters then Wilder.
Vitaly: Larry Donald, Kirk Johnson, Shannon Briggs, Derek Chisora, Corrie Sanders, Gomez, Adamek and Solis.
Also, came back at 37 after 4 year layoff to destroy WBC champion Sam Peter.
Wilder: Stevern (borderline top 20), Ortiz (old and his best win is Jennings)

How are their resumes even comparable?

To be HOF it's not 10+ defences it's who you face in the ring Wilder has to step up with the better boxers @ H/W.
