They told him to fight Ortiz for the shot. The Silver belt gets you ranked, nothing else. Or, Pulev for the IBF. The Parker fight was sanctioned as an eliminator by absolutely no one. I'm OK with him getting a shot but he had orders from both WBC and IBF, so I don't in any way feel bad for him. Incidentally, Dommy B said he isn't in the running so it legit looks like Fury next or an Ortiz rematch for Wilder.
Oh that sounds very much like the WBC,such a historic belt that’s become a joke. You can see why Dillian Whyte was pissed off cant you, does everything asked of him, tries making the fight with Hearns millions, gets knocked back so goes about it the WBC route and did everything asked of him and then has to fight the guy Wilder just beat in Ortiz. No wonder Wilder gets stick off folk and it may not even be his doing?
Yeah well I suppose Ortiz is at least quality but really it’s not unlike Stiverne is it,get beat so go fight one duffer and you’re back in there. Didn’t know that about that silver belt but I’m sure he was under the impression he would be mandatory next, certainly more so than Breazele or Ortiz.
Especially Wilder regarding his history. Some fights that never happened: Vitali Klitschko. Wladimir Klitschko. Alexander Povetkin. Hughie Fury. Luis Ortiz - first time. Dillian Whyte. Soon to add Tyson Fury on that list... Wilder looks awful.
Agree Stiverne shouldn't have been near there the second time but if you really want that belt you got to play the games they set. And maybe, but that's on Whyte and his team. You're not mandatory until the WBC call it.
Lol before Ortiz it was always same story, pretend you gonna fight someone decent but end with an Arreola or a Stiverne. So obvious we always knew who he’d fight anyway just like we’ve known for ages Breazeale was on the cards and Stiverne.
Dillian Whyte is the one big duck on Wilders career,to most of us it looks like a fight Wilder should win, very lucrative as much as six times his normal figure and one of AJs opponents who he could use to compare with and yet he’d rather fight Breazeale another one AJs left overs who ain’t the worst but still. Not mentioned Fury as anything could happen between now and December and the cynic in me just thinks they both creating some hype and won’t fight but I hope I’m wrong.
/agreed For a man who is not only heavyweight champion of the world but also 40 fights into his professional career his resume is very weak. However he may yet redeem himself if he continues to take on dangerous contenders like Ortiz and win.
You've made three similar threads in a matter of a few days all acting like you don't know Wilder and Fury are negotiating to fight before the end of the year. Stop trolling.
If he fights Fury next and wins, then he beat an ESB darling. Bottom line is there are only a couple of HW fighters worth anything. Like 5-ish.
