The weight is fine. Im a bigger welterweight, I can hold 154 fine, I feel comfortable at it. Im just looking at whatever weight can get me the best opportunity between 147 and 154.. He will go to 147 and that is where Goosen said he is taking Williams. Are the people speculating that Williams can't make 147 anymore right? Even the Martinez rematch was being talked about at 160.
If he still wants to make a statement at 147 then I would guess that it would be more in the long run.
My impression is that PTP's priority is to secure a big payday more than anything. I get the feeling that he and his team are constantly telling people that he can still make 47 because they want the big name welters to be put on notice that he's ready and available to fight at that weight. Cintron doesn't offer as a big money opportunity so it would be surprising if PTP would cut down to 47 when they could square up at 54 and make the same amount of money.
Because Williams feels better fighting at 154 then 147 lbs. Yea he can make 147 but right now his best weight is 154 lbs. Most likely within the next 2 to 3 years he will settle in at 160 lbs as long as he's still around.
NBA says Paul is a WW though. You want the guys at WW to take you seriously you should be fighting at that weight. Get ranked, force the fights. I'll bet he could get to be Pac's or Mosely's mandatory in pretty short order if he wanted it. If he was interested in the 'big money' he would have taken the Pavlik fight. Let's not get into the 'crap'. DiBella had the solution and it was pretty simple. Assure him that Martinez could fight on the Bute/Miranda under card if Kelly had to pull out again.
No. That was Cintron quoted from the front page article. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=22810&more=1 Interview with him on an internet Radio feed.
Why drain both guys to make them fight at a weight class they've outgrown but could probably sapp themselves enough to make it
Actually i dont mind this fight.... (yes i understand your asking why is it at 154, and i dont know) but as for the fight itself.... good fight, i will be watching happily and hoping Williams puts a Margarito style beatdown on Cintron
Goosen has ****ed Paul's career up so bad the poor ******* doesn't even know what division he is suppose to fight in:fight
its clear your threatened as a pavlik fan by paul...hey no worries..ur boy is a better mw champ than paul....JUST ACCEPT THAT PAUL IS A STYLISTIC NIGHTMEAR FOR KELLY...KELLY DOESNT HAVE THE SPEED TO KEEP PAUL AWAY AND HIT HIM LIKE MARTINEZ DID... PAUL UD 116-112 ACROSS THE BOARD...PROBABLY WHY HE USED THE INFECTION AS AN EXCUSE ON 2 DIFFERENT SCHEDULED FIGHTS.....UR BOY IS SCARED MAN...WETHER HE CAN WIN OR NOT IS A DIFFERENT STORY...BUT BACKING OUT OF 2 DATES...HES A ***** AND BHOP OWNS HIM AND HIS MOM ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE YOUNGSTOWN POLICE DEPTbbb:hi:
UR VERY DESPERATE....DISSING PAUL WHEN U NEVER SAID **** ABOUT HIM BEFORE 2008 (LATE) REALITY CHECK FOR YOU-ONLY A VERY SMALLSELETECT FEW OF KELLY PAVLIK FANS THINK HE IS STILL GOOD....THE REST OF THE FANS BELIEVE BHOP ENDED HIM IN SEPT 2008..UR FAULT..UR BOY IS DONE AND U R LIVING IN DENIAL..HES GARBAGE AND FACT-HE HAD 2 SCHEDULED DATES WHICH HE PULLED OUT OF AGAINST A MAN WHO LOST AT 147happy
If Cintron doesn't do well early, Pdub will eat him up. CHEF says Cintron wimps out of sparring sessions if they get too rough. Will 'suddenly' hurt his hand or something. Pdub is not a good match up for someone that doesn't come to fight all 3 minutes for 12 rounds.
