If Williams clearly beat Martinez this time in the rematch, will there be excuses?

There'll be no excuses from me. I don't like the catchweight BS though, but Sergio is not complaining so it's all good. Paul says that this time he can train properly for a southpaw so we can expect him to do better. Sergio will also have a full camp. I think Martinez will win but I know Paul will bring it hard so who knows.

Some people will use the catchweight excuse which i dont think will matter since both are naturally 154 lbs.
However no way in hell should PW be called Undisputed MW champion if he wins.

If he wants to be called that then fight at the damn weight.

HAHA!! Epic. This dude Boo is just so sour on Martinez. I wonder what he was saying after Martinez whooped up on PW and before the Pavlik fight was signed.

Funny thread. Catchweight is bs if its fighter A doing it but not if its fighter B.

I find it hilarous that you all think that Williams is going to handily beat Martinez in the rematch.

I posted earlier about this, did you actually watch the first fight? Williams is goddam lucky he got the decision.

I hope there are no excuses after this fight...

I doubt the catchweight will have any effect whatsoever on the outcome of this fight, no matter who wins. I think it's just for show, to build the case that Paul can still make 147, as little sense as that makes. "I can make welterweight, look, when I fought Martinez, I asked for a catchweight, because I'm really not that big...please fight me, Manny and Money. ...Please?"

I think Martinez fought a great fight as did Williams, but I truly think that Martinez won that first fight. We shall see soon enough.

If it's a close fight people willwhine and cry robbery. That's just the way it is. Farmboxer will spam and say (if Paul wins) Martinez had no chance, he needed to KO the judges, etc. he'll say that over and over again. Then if Paul loses, then ESB will have a million threads saying Paul was never that good and he was overrated, and **** like that. That's the way it is. This site has been **** for awhile and will continue to be because people cry all the time and make excuses instead of giving fighters props and say "You know what, I was wrong that Paul Williams is a beast" or vice versa. That **** will never happen.
