If Wlad ads another notch to his belt against Chambers, will it help his legacy?

We all know that Eddie Chambers may not prove to be a huge notch in Wlad's belt, but for whatever its worth, he's a 35-1 contender in his prime.. Should Wlad beat him in IMPRESSIVE fashion, will adding such a win bump him up a level in your rating of him? His record would improve to a respectable 54-3-0-? . He has basically established himself as the lineal champion, or as close to one as possible, without having to face his brother... Should Vitali lose at some point, Wlad will doubt be expected to vanquish his conqueror depending on who beats him....

I don't know where I rate Wlad right now... His career is still in progress, and he does in fact have 3 losses to lesser fighters, two of which went unavenged... His comp is not the greatest, but I do feel that he gets a bit too much flack for facing poor opposition.. Some of those guys weren't bad such as Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster, Calvin Brock, Tony Thompson, Sultan Ibragimov, Ruslan Chagaev, Sam Peter, and if he beats Chambers, it will probably be a win of similar proportions.... I think Wlad's record and dominance over the past 3 years or so, earns him the right to be rated above men like Patterson, Walcott, Schmeling, Bowe and a few others.... Not sure if I'm ready to have him in my top 10 yet, but he probably squeaks into my top 15....

Very very dominant display. Eddie looks beat up, Wlad is literally prowling around the ring unmarked whilst they change one of Eddie's gloves. He's not in the fight any more i'm afraid and needing a KO to win he should probably be pulled, he just can't reach Wlad.

Wlad's right hand has looked good tonight, but he's doing some weird things with his left hook, a punch Steward is insisting upon when I think the right was serving. Very dull fight, and i'm a bit of a Wlad fan. Maybe this rest will steer Eddie in a sharper direction.

    Got Wlad 11-0 up.

It proves he can dominate certain level of opposition, Not an ATG Heavy IMO though

Wow. Manny has really read the riot act to Wlad at the end of the 10th and 11th. Berrating him for letting Eddie stay in there. Bulling him for not throwing enough punches. Wlad has walked out of the corner prematuraly and answered back respectively. Manny actually said "you don't need another bull**** decision" which I do think is over the score given that there are cameras in the corner.

Wlad went for it in the 12th and knocked Eddie dangerously unconcsious. Hope he's okay.

People in the general forum don't sound too impressed... In fact, some are saying that it was a terrible fight, but from what you're telling me Wlad basically dominated the action from round one.. Would you say this was a good win?

It was another KO for his highlight reel but I'm not sure if this'll help his legacy any more than his other title defenses. Chambers didn't bring much to the table and Wladimir shows once again why he is a nightmare for Chambers/Byrd types. You can't just sit back and try to counter him, he is far too good at controlling range.

Course it was a great win, won every round against a crafty, young survivor then sparked him. Classy.
