Haye and Booth wanted 3 weeks to get a deal with Sky TV Pay Per View after Setanta blew up.

That's just a loony conspirasist theory dude. Next you'll be telling us the moon landings were real, the world trade centre was knocked down by jetliners and Obama was born in Hawaii...

Well, apart from clowns like FW still clowning around just taking a rise out of people, the issue is a non-issue.

Haye would not have got a "cheque" from K2 via Setanta, Setanta would have paid him itself from the television revenues they make with people either buying the fight or having a generally covering contract. Setanta wasn't going to get money FROM K2, they would have had to PAY to K2 for the rights. With Setanta being out, someone else would have taken the TV rights for GB, now paying Haye from THEIR (say, Sky) abos and PPV revenues, or Haye would have to have to negotiate with K2 again for a share of the gate and/or their world wide TV revenues. Which was the original offer, before Haye forfeited that thinking he is such a bigger draw in the UK, that he wants to keep all that pile o' money from all his zillions of GB fans who would surely buy his fight, instead of getting a 25 or 30% share of the total pot.

Knowing that Valuev was asked first but REFUSED to take a couple of millions from K2 because he "wasn't prepared for a tall fighter", it's not rocket science that at this time, they already had an agreement with Haye to fight him instead of Klitschko, not risking losing control over the title.

The answer is simple for me. Haye ran his mouth simply in an effort to make a name for himself. He used Wlad's popularity and position to gain somewhat world recognition... then he backs out. Does the same with Vitali... backs out again. All in an effort to fight someone like Valuev and make much more money than he would have if he went straight for Valuev from the beginning.

He was only trying to make a name for himself by putting on this media charade, and made all of his fans look like fools in the process. I feel sorry for his fans honestly. Even though many of them have caught on and turned against him... there are still some that are stuck trying fruitlessly to defend this man's actions. Even when there isn't any logic behind defending him, and no way to excuse his behavior.

I believe Haye was paid by Sauerland to make Wladimir wait. Tait too long to make his mandatory against Povetkin. If Wlad would not be able to fight in September, the IBF would stripped him.

Wlad did not wait and the fight took place on 20the of june.

Now Team Povetkin asked the IBF for an extension of the mandatory until December.

Wlad is ready to fight in September so they could not stripped him.

Haye had sign with Sauerland to fight Valuev, maybe he signed before. So that was the reason Valuev refuses to fight Wlad.
