- That would be 59 fights, 56 wins and 50 KOs. - Wlad sustained heavy losses earlier in his career, but bounced back and this is what makes champions - Wlad will have cleaned out the division - Not beaten in 7 years - Would be 11 out of last 12 title defences by stoppage if he Ko's haye Wlad is hampered by lesser opposition, he can only fight who's there
yet if Wlad loses it certainly will destroy his legacy. If Haye loses it will be a highly embarrassing loss for him too, not backing up the hype. There's a lot at stake for both guys, not just the belts.
Vitali is the elite heavyweight of this era. Wlad is too vulnerable to punchers, he is very similar to Norton career wise. I don't see Haye as a great win.
a lot of people just think that division is so weak that no matter who WK beats he will never become ATG.
he is already an atg. he is a dominant champion for 7 years, unbeaten for 7 years and has a great record, 56-3 (49) and he has 17 title fights with 15-2
He has not been the dominant champion for 7 years like ALL Wlad fans like to say. *He nas never won the WBA belt *He has never won the WBC belt JUNE 2004 was seven years ago. Wlad was still recovering from his beat down by Lamon Brewster just two months before. He won the WBO belt in September 2005 He won the IBF belt in April 2006
Nah man, not really sadly. This is simply the most important fight for him. He had a similar fight against Peter a couple of years ago, it was all or nothing at that time and he struggled but won. Haye has speed and power, the most dangerous combination for Wlad, he could potentially be his kryptonite. So yeah, this fight might very well decide whether Wlad will be viewed as an ATG or a joke.
make em or break em fight for wlad next saturday. if he loses it will hurt is legacy very bad, yet if he wins, there will be plenty of talk of him being a atg, a few more defenses maybe adding the wbc belt when vitali retires and nobody will question him being a atg.
I'm don't think so. Seems like Wlad has everything to lose and little to gain in this fight. If he wins, everyone will see Haye for the hype job that he is. But if Wlad loses, it will be a big blow to his legacy. Fact is, the HW division is so weak that someone who hasn't done much to prove himself like Haye is is being seen as the most viable opponent right now. Adamek is suppose to be one of the top 5 HW and remember he lost pretty convincingly to Dawson at light HW. Just goes to show the HW division is pretty weak.
everyone knows the division is weak, but him beating haye is still a very good win, I know it isnt as good as a win as it would be for haye but its still good. Cleaning out a weak division and dominating it for years with rarely giving up a round deserves credit.
he already won the wba belt. his fight against chagaev. chagaev was the legimative unbeaten heavyweight champion and lost the belt at the green table to the guy he beat to get the belt. wlad is already the undisputed heavyweight champion
Both Vitali and Wlad are great champions, but I'm not sure about ATG's. Vitali had his golden chance vs. Lewis and lost his most crucial fight by a hair. Wlad is like a Tommy Hearns, athletic, fast and powerful, but a questionable chin. Unlike Tommy, Wlad hasn't beaten a great fighter, but Haye should be his most crucial and career defining fight. Vitali and Wlad, best of their era, without a doubt. Vitali proved he could hang with a past his prime ATG in Lewis, but was not able to beat him. Like the guys, but sorry, it is what it is. I would of preferred Vitali take on Haye I think that would of earned him alot more respect and I think he is alot smarter than Wlad, but he should have his hands full with Adamek. I'll give more credit to the bros if they both emerge victorious and look great doing it. Haye and Adamek are much better then their previous competition which has been somewhat of a joke.
Wlad needs allow Haye to be competitive, if he destroys Haye early, then people will just say Haye was a "blown-up Cruiserweight"...
Like I say....... *Wlad has never won the WBA belt. *Wlad has never won the WBC belt and I'll add *Wlad has never been the undisputed heavyweight champion
