:good:good IMO Byrd would beat Liston and Frazier 6/10 times. Ibragimov and Chagaev both easily beat the old Holmes that Tyson dispatched and both KO Spinks or Smith. Well maybe not Smith, but they both UD him.
Fair enough. Who has Wlad beaten to be considered greater than Norton? And lets not forget about Wlad's KO loss to the exceptionally great Ross Purrity...
Because I think that robinson was the legitimate welterweight champ. I think Hart and Patterson were legitimate heavyweight champs. I also think wlad is the legitimate champ now: when vitali retired AS CHAMP byrd was considerd the Ring as the best heavyweight in the world. Wlad beat him to claim that "title" when vitali came back from injury he made it clear he had no intention of challenging wlad for the number 1 spot, no intention at all: A promoters dream would be to set brother against brother for the undisputed world title. That will never happen, says Vitali. We promised our mother we will never fight each other. And being true to their word is cemented deep in the education which has been the making of these men. So wlad did the next best thing, he beat the Ring rated number 3, ruslan chagaev. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last time. you are clearly just a naysayer
Ali lost to Frazier, Frazier lost to Foreman, but Ali beat Foreman. In other words, that don't mean ****. :deal
No, actually Wlad was never Knocked the **** Out as in down for the count. He's only been TKO'd Ken Norton isn't fit to carry Wlad's spit bucket.
They ceased publication of their magazine in 1989 hence the champions following on from their own lineage where no longer recognised. when the magazine began circulating again it made a mistake; rather than just award a belt to the current champions who had not lost their ring belt in the ring, it began to just resume rankings. it began to re-award belts in 2001 by trying to award new championships, hence they didn't make the correct decision which would have been to just give the belt to DM. hope that clears it up for you.
WTF are you talking about, Genius? So what if Byrd was the #1 heavyweight in the world? Byrd was NOT THE CHAMP. Therefore, Wlad could not claim a title by beating him seeing as WLAD WAS NOT THE #2 HW in the world...
Wait a minute. Are you saying the Ring magazine made an error? A mistake? A miscalculation? How in the hell could that happen? Any and all credibility the Ring Magazine may have had went straight down the toilet on the day they handed Roy Jones jr their 175lb trinket. The Ring Magazine's title is MEANINGLESS. The fact that you use it to legitimize Wlad's title claim only illustrates how utterly MEANINGLESS Wlad's claim to the title really is...
Like who? Dan Rafael? Don't make me laugh. That idiot couldn't distinguish **** from shoe polish. If everyone recognizes Wlad as the champ then please tell me why do the guys over @ The Cyberboxing Zone still have the HW title VACANT?
the "title" was the "title of being the number 1 heavyweight. it was a "title" that vitali had no intention of taking which is why when wlad (#1) fought chag (#3) it was no longer just for the "title" but for the "championship. I told why ring made a mistake, they ceased publication. So how does the lineage according to naysayer run? who was the first ever heavyweight champion? or any division for that matter. i like how your lack of boxing knowledge comes to bite you in your arse regarding this agenda you have.
