Trolling aside, you seriously think all a boxer need to do against Wlad is to go out there and be a man about it? Outheart him and he will fold? It seems so naive.

To me it boils down not to heart, but to defence.

Ali could have beaten Wlad thanks to his speed and reflexes making it hard for Wlad to tag him. But if Wlad can establish his offence you are ****ed.

 

Unfortunately, no quality pressure fighters exist in the heavyweight division. Outside of the Bros there is an extreme lack of skill in the division compared to fighters of the past give wlad a real challenge. His style is incredibly successful against this sorry lot. I think a fighter with heart, like Chuvalo, would have more success against wlad than this current group (now i did not say he would win but it would be one hell of a fight!)

 

It is scientifically proven that in 70's people were running faster, swimming faster and generally had longer dicks.
So no way any today's athlete can beat anyone from seventy's. That is the fact.

When watching boxing videos from seventies try to run stopwatch when see any countdown. I was surprised that most of them run faster than they should.

If Ali had to go thru Wlad's resume he'd have Steward's job on HBO now.

 

I think he has a chance of beating alot of the guys Ali did but he would definitely have some losses. I can see him beating a real small Fraizer while at the same time I can see Fraizer putting him to sleep with a left hook. Shavers, Foreman, Fraizer all hit pretty hard, and it would be difficult to simply outbox them without getting hit hard in return and we all know how Wlad chin was early on in his career. I can also seeing him get outboxed by Larry Holmes. Now his brother Vitali is a different story I feel that guy would be a huge problem in any heavyweight in any era.

 

Well, I guess thats fair enough. But I dont think the era of today is all that bad.

Byrd. A talented guy who showed up in shape and went for the win.

Sam Peter. I know he is seen as a bum and all that, but in his prime I percieved him like a guy who was really, really tough and strong, and who could take a punch and kept coming. Obviously not skilled, but as an athlet he was no joke.

Haye. Very talented athlet and a good finisher. He have you hurt he burries you.

 

Do people seriously favour Frazier easily beating Wladimir or are they just on a wind-up?

 

A fighter can fight a heavyweight while being under the limit.

 

2 divisions apart is the max............i think.
