Watch Chambers vs Dimitrenko to see a big guy with AVERAGE skills. Watch Chambers vs Klitschko to see a big guy with very good skills. What an amazing difference in the result.

Wlad has a great jab, defense, hand speed, and punching power. Do you disagree?

this thread seems to have attracted the entire klitschko fanbase...

ill finish by saying this... wladimir klitschko was disgraceful tonight. he was pitted against a fat man who was considerably smaller than him and he took 12 rounds to knock him out... a good boxer does not do this!!! wladimir would have been destroyed in the 90's... he would have ran back to the Ulkraine with his tail between his legs. he fights, as opposed to him, midgets, and he cant even put them away like he should be able to. a big man with a punch like that should not hesitate so much against smaller, slower fighters. this shows either fear or a lack of boxing intelligence. unlike his brother, wladimir klitschko is ****!!!

He paws out his jab, his defence is based on range due to his size, his handspeed is good for such a big guy but his brain doesnt transmit fast enough, and his punching power is fantastic...

That jab is able to neutralize his opponents.

Are you still calling his skills average *******?

because of his size!!! it isnt a particularly good jab, tachnique wise, but he is a powerful man so he can afford not to have good technique because the powers there anyway.

Again, overlooking his intelligence. Wladimir does not fight to impress the lamen of the sport, he simply goes for the "W". He fights at a safe, measured, yet effective pace. He is not competing for early knock outs. But it's not as if these elite heavyweight fighters of the world that he faces are just showing up to lay down. These guys are highly competitive, professional world-class fighters themselves. They may not be the size of Klitschko, but they are by no means small and these same guys who get knocked out by Klitschko (either one) are not known for getting knocked out, nor has anyone one else previously knocked them out. That is why THEY are the ones facing the Klitschko's. Give Wladimir credit though for letting loose and taking Chambers out in the 12th....he's got it in him, it just took Emanuel Steward lighting a fire under his ass to get it out.

If he were a few inches shorter, chances are his chin would improve because he'd have a sturdier base. If his speed, intelligence, and power all remained the same (and there's no reason it wouldn't), he'd still be smart enough to adapt and be the best heavyweight out there.

Size is simply one part of the puzzle. But if you gave any fighter Wlad's genetics and his work ethic, you're going to wind up with a hell of a fighter at the end of the day even if you shrink him down a bit. It's been awhile since we had a heavyweight champion that makes his competition look that bad. Hell, Chambers was coming off the best performance of his career against a tall fighter and Wlad completely outclassed him. If it wasn't for everything else to go along with the height, Eddie would've won tonight.

if mike tyson had slower hands he'd have no power and would be a crap slugger.

if Ali didn't have his speed and mind games he'd be like a crap boxer.

wait a minute. you have to be a moron to play this game. delete this moronic thread,

There are tons of tall big guys out there. Tye Fields, Nicolay Valuev, Jameel McCline, Michael Grant, they are all taller then the Klitshkos. Size doesnt win fights. Dumb ass argument

The op s23041983 is just a silly hater :-(
If Wlad was shorter maybe he'd be CW champ.
If Ali was shorter maybe he'd be LHW champ in the 60s.
If Duran was 6'4" 225 and retained his skills, he'd have cleaned out the 70s HWs :yep
What an idiotic thread. ESB should cut these troll threads, they do in other sports mb. I suppose they think it attracts "traffic".

Maybe it eliminates traffic too :think
