I've been waiting for some kind of announcement that Klitschko was sick or under the weather on Saturday, but it doesn't seem to be coming.

Which leads us to wonder...is Wladimir clearly on the decline now? Should he hang em up before he takes major punishment? I give Pulev a good chance against Saturday's version of Wlad. Pulev would land more jabs and wouldn't get manhandled on the inside as easily.

Maybe Wlad should go for a rematch with Povetkin and try to close out his career with a better performance. Or maybe he should hang em up.

Boxers have off nights, maybe it was the pressure of facing Povetkin on home turf. Maybe he was ill. Maybe the heavyweight division is going to get competitive again.

Wlad beat Povetkin on every aspect outside inside wrestle manhandled povetkin like biatch . Wlad is 37!!! He is not 27 anymore he is entering Hopkins stage of career where he does anything to win he might fight 8 more years he is so above anyone else.

He just beat undefeated Olympic gold medalist world amateur champion professional WBA champ (alt ought paper title). And he did it not losing single round so you have to wonder how far ahead he is.

Only Haye has chance after maybe 3 years or Wilder only because they are fast and punchers and wlad could lose some reflexes after 2-3 years.

I don't really see his reflexes being used or have anything to do with him winning fights... its simply his size and his expert ability to use that size to completey neutralize smaller opponents with grappling and a long jab.

You are you trying to fool here?

What you saw Saturday was Wladimir Klitschko in his purest form. It the way he has performed in the past and its the way he will perform again.

Wlad likes to control the distance and lead with the jab from long range, this is where he looks his best.

Povetkin was ducking in low and bull rushing him, not giving him the chance to lead like he normally does. Povetkin also showed good durability in eating that left hook all night and continuing to press.

Put Wlad in with someone that will box with him, and he'll look sharp again.

Translation- An unskilled bottom feeder with no will to win who will stay on the outside eating jabs and straights.

Put Wlad in there with a guy with a pluse and you get what we saw Saturday.

My post was speaking in terms of stylstic variables, not quality ones. Sorry, if there was confusion.

Why? He can reign for at least 6, 7, 8 more years. Add 15 or more title defences.

Go down as the GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF ALL TIME.

    He's about top 7 now

Alexander Povetkin had never been knocked down as an amateur or a pro until Wladimir Klitschko knocked him down in round 2 on Saturday.

Wlad is slowing a bit with age, but he's just as powerful as ever.

He was also the first to knock down Ruslan Chagaev, Eddie Chambers, Tony Thompson, Calvin Brock and many others.
