If Wladimir beats Ibragimov quickly will you be convinced that he is the man.. Or will it take a rematch with Samuel and the completion of a victory over young gun Povetkin.. Is Povetkin ready??

Is Ibragimov the dark horse we can't imagine beating Wlad..?

    Your thoughts please..

Wlad 's arsenal has Iggy out-gunned.

I think the job will be completed in the first half of the fiight.

Peter's performance against Jameel was poor. If he get's past Oleg (50/50 at best) he'll get destroyed by Wlad's brother. (Two round KO).

If Wlad and Peter ever fight again, it would look a bit like the last time at the start, with Wlad testing that chin a bit more and scoring a late KO.

I have only seen a few seconds of Povetkin, but if Wlad beats him and povetkin goes on to big things later, it helps Wlad's legacy.

Right now, he's the # 1 in most eyes.

If he does what you suggest, he wraps it up.

His overall legacy among the heavywts, though, is uncertain at this point.

Wlad is the best at the moment, if he beats Iggy it just reinforces what I already knew. I dont see neither Iggy or Povetkin beating Wlad, one poses no threat and the other is too green. I do however see guys like Valuev, Chagaev, and Peter, that do have a decent chance of beating Wlad.

You dont have to be the most skilled fighter to beat Wlad, but you must know coming in if you want to win, you need to get inside on him and to do that you got to be able to eat some hard ass punches. Power + agression + granite chin = Wlad on the canvas KO'd.

I agree, but we dont seem to have any heavies who possess enough of all of those qualities to get the job done, do we?

Some have two, and lack the third, so.........

Wlad is the man, and beating Ibrag will further convince everone of that.

But to be THE man, on paper and as far as undisputed goes, I think he needs at least three of the four titles. And preferrably, he needs the big three titles, but lately, I think the WBO that Ibrag has is about as coveted as any of the other three, in my opinion.

Yes i will be convinced he will be the man. However like i say when my brother watched him fight he just started laughing and said is this what the heavyweights are about these days. Made me feel sad because i'm the blacksheep in the family who likes boxing. To me that just sumed up the Heavyweight scene nobody give a ****. Sorrry to be crude but its the truth.

Your right, we dont. I just feel if theres a fighter who comes around who posses all 3, we might just have a fight on our hands, even 2 of the 3 would give Wlad trouble like a Peter, but old Peter was more aggresive than the Peter of now, so maybe there isnt a fighter out there that could give Wlad that much trouble.

Let's get it on with a Peter rematch! That fight really hurt Wlad in my eyes. He barely got through it, despite Peter's face..If Pete gets by Oleg, he's in the equation.

I agree, thats number the 1 fight at the heavyweight division I want to see. I just dont see it happening for awhile, Wlad has to fight Iggy, then the winner Chambers/Povetkin, then maybe Chagaev. Peter has to fight Makaev, then I guess Vitali, which I doubt will happen, then the winner of Gomez/Virchis.

I will sum it up by saying, this fight will not happen in 08, we could only hope it happens in 09 and both men still have there titles.:yep

Ibragamov isnt a name worth much, neither is povetkin, Peter is damaged goods now and is unlikely to get past maskaev who is unlikely to get past vitali. I see vitali`s comeback being soley motivated to stop peter from fighting his brother, or in the case as it turns out stop maskaev and leave the path clear for wlad, to me that taints wlads reign if vitali "protects" him.

I had a dream that Iggy flattened Wlad early. I doubt that will happen but who knows...

I've seen Iggy struggle with taking right hands and Wlad's is lethal.

    Should be a Wlad KO.

Why, because that ATG Shannon Briggs recently held it???

Sorry, but every time I start to put a bit of faith in the WBO, something like that happens.

But at least a 45 yr old faded ex champ didn't get a WBO title shot by beating a journeyman and a 42 yr old never really was. Eh, oh
