If Wladimir beats Wilder, Stiverne, Fury, Jennings & Pulev, is he a top 10 ATG HW?

If Wladimir Klitschko at the age of 38 to 42 beats these five HW contenders:

    Deontay Wilder
    Bermane Stiverne
    Tyson Fury
    Byrant Jennings
    Kubrat Pulev

Would he then be in the top 10 HW on your all-time list?

Will you consider him an ATG HW?

I already have him at #9 on my own list.

I know many have him between 11 and 15, others have him between 16 and 20.

He's already top 5. He has the second longest reign as top heavyweight champion second only to Joe Louis. He was the youngest super heavyweight Olympic gold medalist of all time at age 20. He has one of the highest knockout percentages in history regardless of weight division. He has the best left jab since Larry Holmes. Unlike Holmes, Wlad has actively attempted to unify titles and gone after and defeated multiple co-champions. When he beats those other guys you mentioned it will be icing on the cake. Both Foreman and Tyson have admitted that Wlad would probably beat them. That's neither here nor there but those two greats obviously respect Wlad's accomplishments to date. Oh, and Ring Magazine, a U.S. based publication, has Wlad at number three Pound for Pound and has had him ranked top 5 P4P for over five years now.

    Um no.

He is top 10-11 though. Top 5? Not a fking chance in hell. :rofl

Louis/Ali/Lewis/Marciano/Johnson/Holmes/Foreman/Holy/Frazier all rank higher. 10-11 would be him or Tyson.

What have Marciano or Frazier done to rank higher than Wlad? Neither of the two belong in the top 10.

What a stupid poll, how would you vote if he was already in your top 10?

Actually I agree with your top 3 choices. Jack Johnson is so far back in time that it is hard to rate him objectively. No real decent video of the guy but one courageous man who Ali deeply respected. Holyfield and Frazier are not on Wlad's level. Those guys just didn't have the size or strength to compete with a six and a half 245 pound monster equipped with a power left jab followed by a monster over hand right. Frazier struggled with Joe Bugner. Many thought he lost that fight and was butchered by Foreman. Foreman could have knocked Wlad out. Holyfield was a skilled boxer. He beat post-prison Tyson on his boxing skills not raw power. Wlad's boxing talent and technical skills would leave Evander outclassed late in their fight. Wlad has few peers. It is what it is.

Frazier has a win over arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time, which is better than any single win Wlad has, his resume in general is also arguably better with Chuvalo, Quarry, Ellis, Machen, bonavena, Mathis, etc. Wlad also has a great resume, arguably better, but no ATG on there. However he makes up for it with his dominance over the entire era. IMO they are very close. As for marciano I agree, very overrated, and his resume is nowhere close

O.K. Pete Sampras won the second highest number of major tennis titles in history. Roger Federer won the most major tennis titles in history. Most normal human beings possessing average or above average intelligence would say that Pete Sampras was probably a top 5 all-time great tennis player, right? Wlad Klitschko has reigned as the second longest dominant heavyweight champion in history. This is based on Ring Magazine records which is a United States based internationally respected publication. He is second only to the immortal boxing legend Joe Louis. So, again most intelligent, unbiased, human beings are going to say that yes, the man who has reigned supreme for over eight years now and is a real threat to overcoming Joe Louis's record of dominance is probably a top 5 heavyweight boxer historically. It is what it is.

Level of competition must be taken into consideration. He had the chance to fight the only other great fighter in his era and he passed on it. I understand that hes against fighting his brother but his legacy suffers for it imo. Had he fought and defeated Vitali, he'd be in my top 10.

Level of competition is subjective, largely based on opinion.

I don't think that its subjective to say that he didn't fight the only other great HW during his time.
