Would Wladimir rate higher or lower in your opinion?

Surely if ANYONE in the world beat that number of defences then they would up for debate as the greatest HW of all time? Anyone, including..Sean Connery and Mickey Rourke.

WHy ask about Wlad, esp when he wont get close except in the dreams of his gay daydreamers club.

You're talking about Wlad achieving 25 title defenses since 2006 (he's 11 right now).

Wlad would need 14 more title defenses. That's approximately 7 years more. So Wlad's reign would be from 2006 until 2018. Wlad would be 42 years old.

If Wlad does that, I think he would rank #1 of all time.

    (It won't happen.)

Why would he rate number one potentially for beating less-than-great opposition (assuming no amazingly great heavyweights come into the picture)? Is Hopkins the GOAT middleweight for his slew of title defenses and decade long reign? No, because his opposition wasn't good enough. I don't even know if he's a top 10 at the weight.

Seems like its possible he keeps himself in great shape and he might even fight more to make a run at it. if he fought three times a year he could do it in less then 5 years.

you need to get a reality check. Obviously you are a very young man. The human body changes a fair bit after 30.

the only way he could do it is by fighting top ten contenders for the British title, and pretend they are fighting top ten World title contenders, though thats not a lot different from what they do now.

Even if he did manage to do it (which he won't) he will still be ranked lower.

It would be a great accomplishment of course, but no Klit die hard can argue him to be ranked above Louis with his resume.

Fair enough. It would depend on who he beat. But, if someome dominates the heavyweight division for that long, I wouldn't rank him lower than #3.

Vitali is still the best heavyweight in the world by far besides Wlad at 40. Wlad is physically more gifted then Vitali.

It would be an impressive accomplishment, without question. I hope he does it.

Vit is slower than ever, hes ripe for taking.

If you want to keep denying that you are losing it after 30 and lose it fast after 40 then be my guest, I wont argue with someone who refuses to acknowledge factual biology which is written in stone. You may as well be arguing that if Wlad had four arms he could beat Joe Louis.

I know he is slower then ever but I think Wlad at that age will be faster then Vitali is right now. Wladimir has always been quite a bit faster then Vitali.

Wladimir could lose quite a bit of his speed and still be quick same goes for his power he could lose a quarter of his power and still have knock out power.
