If he would mass 25 real title defences he would atleast be top-5 of all time in my mind.

The big difference is that Larry was seen as 'the man.' There were other belt holders, but Larry had defeated several of them before. Guys like Witherspoon, Weaver, Bonecrusher Smith etc.
He was the longest reigning champ and was largely regarded as the best.

When Wlad held the WBO title, he was not seen as 'the man.' Lewis was. He never beat 'the man.'

I doubt Wlad will get that far. He's not some East London Ghetto POS. In other words, he has other interests and pursuits. He'll be a rich man, have his pick of any woman on the planet, if he doesn't already. Being highly intelligent, unlike most boxers, he probably doesn't want his brains scrambled from too much fighting. Truth be told, I think it's just a business at this point for K2.

It's funny to see all the hate from low class people everywhere. Complaining that Wlad is too human-like, and not enough like a filthy animal, it's like bizarro world around here.

Too "human like"? More like too much of a ***** to let any of the straight up cans on his resume anywhere within arms reach before grabbing and holding on for dear life until the ref calls a break. His fighting "style" is downright cowardly and boring as ****. He's a ****ing embarrassment to the sport. Keep daydreaming about sucking his **** and eating his ******* out, though, if that's what you like to do. :yep

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, and that he meant "fighters from back then", but I might be being too generous :)

Anyway, the point he makes is a valid one - any pre-alphabet heavyweight champion is a shoo-in for the HoF, when the careers of Braddock and to a lesser extent Sharkey and Baer were otherwise undistinguished. Let's not pretend that it was a murderer's row list of opponents, even if it is annoying that modern fans with little knowledge of the era cling to the "bum of the month" myth that he fought two dozen no-hopers.

It doesn't alter Louis' legacy though, as he reigned for 11 years, and beat every champion except Charles from 1930-52 (including Bivins if you count him). It's a level of dominance unparalled in boxing history, and I'm not sure how people can even begin compare Wlad to that, especially when his pool of challengers has been diluted by his brother being there at the same time.
