I never said it would, and if you looked at a previous post, I even said Wlad is a great boxer. My point was that, imo, Wlad isn't great to watch, especially not compared to Floyd. Floyd is versatile, Wlad isn't. I was comparing both fighters' attributes.
OK? It's alive and kicking in Europe and not too much anywhere else compared to the lower divisions. We've already established that. Repeating yourself isn't helping your argument. If the US and any other countries around the globe are more interested in the lower divisions, then it is what it is. Seriously, what point are you even trying to make here? You're talking as if the lower divisions don't produce knockout punchers. They do indeed, they are plentiful in fact, and they are far more enjoyable to watch than most heavies.
The HW division is the it division. As an citizen of the USA, this is a weird dichotomy. Wlad is one of the best HW's of all time. Not going to assign a number, but it is true. He is the most dominant HW of my lifetime. I'm 31. I remember when Lennox Lewis was on TV every month on HBO. To call Lewis an exciting fighter is a stretch. Yet, there he was in on American TV, despite by KTFO by two tomato cans in his prime. Hmmm?
I agree that Wlad's fights are more entertaining in terms of drama. Floyd is a master boxer but we've all seen what he can do by now and since there sadly isn't anyone out there atm to give him a challenge I tend to give his fights a pass.
The same could be said for Klitschko..? No one in the HW scene is going to give him a decent fight, apart from his brother...
No one is as boring as Mayweather. Didn't see the fight, haven't much interest in Mayweather. He's an excellent boxer but these guys he fights are not good enough. If he steps up to middleweight it might get interesting, but against 140 - 152 pounders he's too good, and his style is so boring. His personality is ******ed too, so he's not exactly interesting in any way. Of course Wladimir hits like a freight train so even when he boxes in a boring style there's a chance of a KO, and it usually happens. People who pretend KOs aren't more entertaining than decisions are full of ****.
Because all the US HW's are fat slobs or overhyped prospects that get exposed once they finally step up and fight a European HW.
the ko thing is spot on here. The accessibility of boxing to people who say for instance do not watch it regularly is reduced in a fight like this, whilst it is technical and point scoring it isnt AS entertaining as being techincal and point scoring with a KO. And it isnt just the KO that is entertaining, it is the willingness to get into a fight with someone and trade blows, like the end of garcia matteyse fight. I dont see why all the floyd fans get so angry and try and demean someone's liking of a sport or knwledge just because they find him boring....
Fought cheap? Alright he clinched a lot, who gives a ****? They guy dominates every fight anyway. Do something about it and knock him out then ya sorry vaginas. Maybe David Haye .......nvm Povetkin......wait Face it, the guy cannot be beaten. Deal with it. :hat
