Wlad should keep all his belts and fight his mandatory fights. Act like a real Champion.

Why are Klitschko fans so sensitive & unable to handle any criticism of their heroes?

They are always starting threads in a similar vein to this one..."Why don't people like the Klits as much as me?"

Wlad is fighting a forklift truck driver, if any other long term champion or p4p guy did the same they would get slaughtered on forums.

as a voluntary fight I can see it.... as a WBO mand fight... I don't get the hate toward Wlad..... blame the WBO for making such a dumb move NOT the champ who has to fight the guy or lose the belt

I still don't understand how a 10 round fight for a minor title somehow produced the first WBO mandatory in years :conf

If Floyd or Manny, if Marquez or any of the other elite fighters fought someone like Leapai, regardless of the politics involved, they would get all sorts of abuse on here.

Wlad is a high profile, long term, unified champion & he's fighting a forklift driver. Do you expect people to believe that K2 had nothing to do with the WBO's decision?

not all contenders r multimillionaires u know.

plenty of them have other jobs.

its irrelevant anyway. all that matters is that he will be ready to fight on the day.

u r trying to discredit an honest guy. it makes u look silly imo.

Na, fair play to Leapai. He's gonna earn a career high paycheck & there's nothing wrong with driving a forklift for a living.

My problem with this fight is that its a terrible mismatch & Leapai shouldn't be in a mandatory position.

Wilder is ranked #3 WBC without fighting anyone nearly ranked. Notice that there are no complaints about that....................at least Leapai fought for his ranking, unlike Wilder who was simply given his ranking. I suspect that Wilder's people are waiting for Vitali to retire so that the WBC will simply give him the title, and after that Wilder will just go on fighting unranked fighters........I can see it now, the advertisement of a huge heavyweight title fight between Wilder and Sconiers, or perhaps someone even worse than that..........

You don't think Wlad has become unbearably boring in the past 48 months?

Drop the belt and fight who?, are you another one secretly hinting the division is hiding three Muhammad Alis and twenty Tysons?

don't blame him for being exceptionally talented.

isn't that what all athletes should strive for?

I don't watch most of his fights cause he is winning too easily, but somebody must be, he's making good money.

I'm sure the viewers would be diminishing a little though, yeah, u would think so.

His haters will hate no matter what he does, because they have an irrational hate for him. He could beat Vitali, Pulev, Haye, Fury, Helenius, Wilder, Arreola, Chisora all on one night all by KO1 and they would still hate on him.

But he is also getting heavy criticism from neutral fans for this defence not just the haters. This is a bad, bad fight.

As a neutral fan I would respect him if he fought a better opponent and forced the WBO to strip him.
