If the World Championship never had ever fragmented. Of the current World titleholders, which world be champions would have indeed & which fighters might just have been conternders.
Heavyweight: After Ali was exiled, how would a linear Championship to present day have shaped up?

Wlad would be a big winner.

If there was a single title, where the holder could be forced to defend it against him, then he would have it now.

By the time Wlade earns a shot. In all likelyhood the undisputed champion would be...Vitali

After Lewis retired, there should be a line, before Wlad:

Would Spinks have been Champion? Others who could have knocked off Holmes. Witherspoon(Rematch) Page, Dokes, Berbick.
Could Spinks have defeated any of these fighters, if any one of these had ended Holmes' reign?

Who knows. He didnt fight them, so we dont know. I was trying only to make it with the fights that already took place. But even if Holmes had lost before Spinks and Spinks hadnt captured the belt, finally Mike Tyson would have become the champion.

Whoever turned out to be the key to the lineal championship.

If they fight him he takes it.

Your pickin' Wlad to defeat a prime Vitali? Vitali would have won the belt after Lewis retired rather that give Vitali a rematch. Not saying he couldn't do it. but that would a heck of a fight. but it would have to happen!

More of a question to myself. I wonder if Spinks could actually do it. His title winning performance, was it Spinks himself, or more Holmes' aging? interesting question...

    Wouldn't matter.

Vitali would have retired in 2005 because of injuries even if the HW championship isn't fragmented.

And I'm guessing Wlad would take it somewhere between 2005 and 2008, and Vitali won't fight Wlad during his comeback.
