Are you literate? I am conceding all that. You made a comment that no one could come close to what RJJ did against his opposition...well, Wlad sweeps all the rounds in all of his fights sans a few.

My point was when comparing Roy to SRR, SRL or any other legit ATG when we mention how many "Champions" they beat we can say Roy has one victory over a legit Champion where the others had many more than that over THE champion not some paper beltholder. If there were 4 belts back in the old days it would have been possible to have a victory over 40 current or former champions because the Champions of yester year fought all comers. Glass Jaw Roy did not and for good reason he would have been knocked out.

    My comment was...

    A QUESTION TO THOSE POSTING:

Has anyone ever went 10 years losing less rounds in the process????

You suggested Wlad. But I'm pretty sure he hasn't.

Therefore, the answer is still No, pending further suggestions/attempts. As I said, it was close but no cigar for you.

My question wasn't "has anyone lost more rounds but still done quite well?"

If it was, then your answer would be good.

Toney wasn't the man at 168, so I don't know why ppl are starting to say so.

He was pound-for-pound#2 with The Ring, and was many peoples' no.1 at the time, as well as being the recognized world no.1 at 168 in the rankings. He wasn't linear or undisputed, but he was clearly the top dog, that was obvious at the time.

Jones is by far the most gifted boxer of our generation bottom line ! A win over Calzaghe would propell him in the top 50 of atg 's !

I mean former middle ,super middle lt heavy and heavy weight champ loses twice by KO then comes back to beat the lineal lt heavy weight champ what would that say about him all time really ?

Correct. It is hilarious to see some try and act like that is some type of ATG resume.

Yep, but he was not the man since the man is the universally recognized champ.

Nice breakdown of Roy's run in his prime. I've long maintained that Roy is the best head to head fighter in history.

Roy went a long time without losing a round. Let alone a fight. He was an amazing talent.

Were you watching boxing then? Have you even seen the fight?

It was seen as the P4P #1 or 2 and YES - THE MAN at 168 in Toney, against a potential great in Jones.

From memory, I believe they even said that a few times in the telecast.

Who was the man at 168 if it wasn't Toney? Nunn and Liles were great (and I was a huge fan of Nunn), but the general consesnus was that Toney was better.

Extremely impressive to me and he should be ranked above Duran and Ali

No title holder at 168 back then was the man. The hbo crew talk nonsense. If the Benn-Eubank rematch had a winner they'd have a greater claim to being 'the man'.
