how do you get lucky with a punch you trained for ? and landed on sparring partners leading up to the fight.

he will struggle to land this again because pac will fight cautious as hell. marquez will get a decision easy... the judges could rob him again

He got lucky the way it landed(as Pac came forwad). He could land the same punch all day long without Manny going down.

It was a great punch and a great win but Juan knows he wouldnt be able to do it again, that's why he doesn't want to take the fight.

he landed that similar punch throughout their first 3 fights and did not hurt pac.

he knocked down pac prior.

Team Pacquiao could just easily turn that down and say the fourth fight was just a fluke.. Prime Marquez couldn't even knock Pacquiao down FFS.. THe majority of the boxing fans know Pacquiao would beat Marquez in the fourth, he was always the favorite against Marquez for all 4 meetings.. Team Pacquiao could go on and fight some new name.. It's actually not Pacquiao's lost in any means..

I think JMM beats Porter.

Pac and JMM will always be close but given that Pac was giving him the business in their last match, I don't think JMM is confident he can do it again. Pacman was going in for the kill, a bit recklessly, when he ran into that haymaker.

I don't really believe in lucky punches but it was an unlikely one. Pac looked better in that fight than he has in a long time. He was fast and fierce just like old times. Pac is at the end of his career. I would rather see him take on a few new challenges.

But we are talking about JMM a guy that refused an immediate rematch with Pac after their first fight a rematch that would give him the best payday of his career till that point to go to Indonesia to fight Chris John for pennies and get an L on top of that. With this said it wouldnt surprise me one bit if JMM picks the fight that gives him less money and gets his ass beat again.

Pacquiao landed much cleaner in the 4th fight than any of the previous three fights, what *******s and people that dont comprehend the nuances of the sport fail to realize is that Pac landed those shots because Marquez was being more aggressive himself.
Marquez by design was throwing less in combination and loading up with the straight right hand he had worked on to do major damage in training camp.

When you clearly outbox an opponent 3 times and the judges refuse to score proper, what does a great fighter do?????

Let me put it in easy terms and lay it out for you all.

First 3 fights Marquez boxes and focuses on combination landing. When you do that, you seldom load up to land a KO punch. You fight to win rounds.

The fourth fight Marquez does'nt go into it with that mindset. Having allready fought 36 rounds with Pacquiao, Marquez knew full well what Pacquiao brung and what he, Marquez himself could take.
Marquez then fought with that focus. The hurt focus. The focus to render a fighter useless.
