I read some similar - to the fact that - the Hatton Camp said they wouldn't fight Witter, due to the fact of public insult that he was throwing at Ricky. I thought it would be more of a reason to fight him - especially since it would be a big fight in the UK.

They state that they don't want Witter to piggy back on Ricky's success.

i can only see it happening if witter's profile increases significantly - he woud do well to unify first

and Witter offered to fight at short notice and for no cash. Someone can call bullhsit on that but at the end of the day Ricky did not entertain the idea and so we never knew of Witter was playing all his chips and bluffing.

as for Witter needing to raise his profile first.....yes because Urango, Collazo, Vilches, Pedersen etc. all had massive profiles.

that fight would be a good one, and as the winner would have 2 of the belts they would make a good no 1 contender to fight hatton to be the man at 140

witter hadn't even won his belt when hatton fought collazo. hatton was trying to get a name in the US and a fight with witter, who was unheard of in the US and who has had some of the most boring fights ever was a bad idea to get noticed.

No, you can't. I'm glad you realize that. :good

And even someone vastly superior to you like me (by your own admission) wouldn't question a professional fighter's guts, especially one that stepped up a division to fight the best fighter on the planet.

the thought that Hatton is scared of Witter when he fought PBF is kind of rediculous. Do you guys think Witter is better than PBF?

I think Hatton witter will happen but I think it will be Hattons last fight.
I rember when Hatton was champ and witter was slagging him off left right and center every were he went and to be fair to Hatton he had bigger fights to go for and also building his name in the states. Witter has only just became champion but this fight makes more sense now than ever but if I was hatton I would fight pauly at the garden first keep the us money happy then look at things again Witter is good no doubt but money and name wise no were near as big hatton. Would hbo want hatton witter I dont know.
