If you can make a boxing movie about any boxer, who would it be about ?

If I had the talent and Hollywood pull, it would probably be a movie based on "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler. Don't know who I would cast to play the part though.

 

If I had the money, I'd give HBO a huge grant to make a bio/documentary of every notable boxer (ranging from half hour to two hours). God, their production value is awesome. And almost every boxer has a pretty interesting story (some more than others, obviously).

Agreed with the post above that a B-Hop movie would be a tough sell, but an HBO documentary would be incredible.

George Foreman, that would be a great film. I dont know who would play the young George, maybe Forrest Whitakers son. The old George could be played by the guy from the "Green Mile," he's big as hell.

A movie that parallels the life of Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins and James Toney.

Stanley Ketchel! It would need alot of special effects tho. I want full blown action sequences and a close up of the shotgun blast to the skull. Awesome

 

Ya know, if I was a director, I would make a movie about Sayers vs. Heenan.

 

A well researched movie about Charles Liston is far too overdue..

I do remember they were trying to put one together but hit a roadblock somewhere...

Actually, I enjoy the life story of all boxers. Bless them all!
