I'm not going to pick Calzaghe coz I think he's simply a level above the six. So for that and for sheer entertainment value I'd go for Pavlik - I think he'd be exposed too.

you could make a good argument for any of them.

off topic: what happens if one of the six gets hurt?? does the fight get pushed back or what??

I'd just like to say that I'm in no way moaning about the line-up....I think this is the best thing to have happened in boxing since the 80's!! I'm serious I'm that excited.

I voted for BHop. Ya, it's wishful thinking, but it would really be something special if Old Man River swooped in and pretty much cleared out 168 to cap off his career!

I wondered about the weight isuue?? Kessler and Froch are very big SMW's...what if they can't make the weight 18 months down the line??

It has been reported that there are all kinds of contingency clauses involved about injuries and such. Replacements are presumably standing by.

I'm a Calzaghe fan, but he's proven at the weight and should stay retired. With Hopkins, I think his age would catch up to him by the latter stages of the tournament although it'd be interesting to see if he could capture titles in his 3rd weight class. Pavlik has minimal experience at the weight.

The right choice for me is Bute. At least then we'd have 3 of the 4 titles involved, and he fits the profile of the other guys- a prime fighter whose had success and alot of experience at the weight, but maybe has a little something to prove; a chip on his shoulder.

I wouldn't complain if any of 'em were. It took a bit of nitpicking to get it narrowed down.

It's my opinion that Taylor got in because Showtme likes him, and Sauerland, who is the brains behind the tourney, thinks JT is ruined.

Pavlik easily. Calzaghe should be left alone to retire, he's old. Hopkins would be pointless, if anyone beats him everyone will just point at his age. And Bute, well he just doesn't interest me that much.
