If you could cancel Pac-JMM IV and replace Juan for another guy, who would be?

YOU CANT PICK MAYWEATHER. that's not happening in this lifetime, get over it already

And no Bradley and no Cotto either, Timmeh has already been discarded for good by both Arum and Pac, and Pac wont fight Cotto again unless Miguel moves down in weight, something he's not planning to do.

So barring Floyd, Timmeh and Cotto, and since I see a lot of people bitching about how Pac-JMM IV is such a bull**** match, then who would make a better opponent for Pac's next fight in your opinion?

I want to see Pacman fight Canelo, Canelo is a come-forward brawler whose style plays right into Pac's hands. I think Pac would beat him, after a very good fight.
I don't want to see him fight Martinez however because Martinez would likely knock him out.
Pacquiao could also fight Danny Garcia. Danny would put up a fight but Pac would KO him.

None of the guys you mentioned are in Pac's weight class

Pac wont move up to 154 and Canelo would be so drained at 147 that it wouldn't be even remotely competitive, it's already probably a mismatch as it is

Martinez is too big as well, he said he can move down to 150 at most, and I think he'd still be drained even at that weight, still a good match but Martinez will be out of boxing for 9 months

Garcia would have the less trouble making the weight, but it's probably a huge mismatch given how limited Garcia is as a fighter

A featherweight who just moved to lightweight? :-(

Mathysse, now that'd be a great fight to see imo. One of them gets KTFO for sure.

Rios with his style would probably get the Margarito treatment, but Pac is on the decline while Rios is in his prime so it could be a good slugfest while it lasts

No Mayweather, Cotto, or Bradley, eh?

JMM IV is the next best realistic matchup for sure. Not sure of the hate for the fight. Was III decisive? Yes. But officially, JMM has yet to score an official victory over Pacquiao. If they never fought the first two times and only fought last year, I think the rematch would be highly anticipated as JMM is the first person since, well, JMM '08, to make Pacquiao seem mortal in the ring.

At 147, the usual suspects: Zaveck, Brook, Alexander, Paulie... the top tier ranked guys at 147. Any are quality victories.

I'm fine with JMM, little as I want to see another disappointing outcome for me, but Garcia at 140 or Berto at 147 would be pretty cool with me as well. Although, really, I think Pac should retire if JMM doesn't happen.

Ok so no Mayweather, no Bradley, and no Cotto.

    Easy.

1 - Has actually earned it
2 - Is number one at 140 (under Garcia who is champ)
3 - Would be an awesome slugfest

My 2nd choice would be Garcia. He has earned the shot as well, I just have Matthysse as number one because I think he would be more competetive, and I want to see him get a big fight.

    just imo

Pac is the cash cow, he wont move down or up in weight for any of these guys, if a match with Garcia or anyone else from 140 takes place, it's gonna be at 147 or a catchweight
