If you could change one rule about boxing what would it be?

Also unnecessary rematches when the guy who won the original fight is clearly better, but money forces a return

Also to punish those who pull out on short notice, whether real or not. Dubouis could have had a loss against Parker, yet he was pulled out to ensure he gets another crack. He should have been made fight Parker first, or Parker should have skipped the queue. The winner if not retired should be mandated to fight Parker next

Now there are many more instances of this, but this is the most current situation

My rule is that each fighter gets a metal dildo in the ass connected to sensors on their chest. If the sensors touch at any point, the dildo is activated and it sends a nice electric shock straight up the poop chute.

I have solved the problem of clinches in boxing.

I now await my huge kudos :devil-king:

Same day weigh-ins to stop weight bullies

Rematch clauses: none for mandatories or world title holders, otherwise rematch clauses should not be for immediate rematches, just for one of the boxer's the next 3 fights.

Judges should NOT score rounds for fighters like Stevenson who run and use negative tactics

Referees should more frequently deduct points for holding, low blows and head butts

Referees and judges should be from neutral countries

Judges who turn in outlandishly dishonest scorecards should be banned from the sport

1st faces 2nd as ranked. If you don't face no1 contender within 90 days unless there is a real good reason: injury/venue concerns, etc you forfeit the belt.
Sick of fights marinating, and then we don't see Fury Joshua, Wilder V Joshua etc.
Immediate rematches in the event of a close fight, or ca ontroversial end only.

    Only one rule?!?

    Fair consistent judging.

    Runners up
1 belt per weight class or a reduction in weight classes or unified rules for making an undisputed champion with rules for a unified/undisputed #1 contender
    Same day weigh ins
    Consistent and fair refereeing
    Accountability of judges and referees
    Year round aggressive drug testing

Meh. Of all things in boxing I don't care about, that's the one I don't care about the most. I have the internet. I don't need boxing to look at girls.

Once ranked, can only fight someone within three spots of your own ranking.

Also get rid of rematch clauses, or at least don't make it the norm

I agree as long as there is a video of you demonstrating the prototype.

Boxing is being destroyed by decisions and referees to support the popular fighter. That is the first thing to change.

Secondly, huggy bear fighting needs to be dealt with severe penalties. Wlad could not have survived without that approach.

Finally, stop the ducking. It is ridiculous. Tank would have 6 losses if forced to fight the best opponent.

Forgivable for Wlad. Like, wtf do you do if you're him? ATG level skills, ATG level power, ATW level chin. He didn't do it as some negative fighting strategy, he did it because without it, he couldn't box.

Holders of other organisations belts should be a "mandatory" for the title holder.

For example, you're winning the IBF. First, you get your voluntary defense. Then, you have your mandatory challenger, to make sure you are the guy in this organisation. After that, you are ordered to fight a title holder of WBA, WBC or WBO. Thanks to this, the crown won't be split for long and we almost always know who the man is.
