What fights do you felt he won that he lost?

Did he have any wins he didn't desererve?

Looking for thoughts on this one.

    I would add 2 wins
first one over jermaine taylor(Dont even argue this one with my because we all know he ran over taylor)
Another win would be over Fernando vargas(vargas couldnt get through and all his punches where deflected or blocked by the winky wright shell)

Was the Taylor fight really that obvious a win for Wright?

taylor-wright was a very close fight that couldve went either way. I watched and scored it twice...draw was the best and most accurate result. Wright is just a crybaby

No. Wright took risks during that fight and was punished by Taylor on more than one occassion.

Wright didn't look himself in that fight, he lacked respect for Taylor and he paid the price for underestimating his opponent by dropping rounds.

If Wright fights his best fight I don't think Taylor can beat him, but I think draw was a fair call in this instance.

I scored Hopkins/Wright a draw. The scorecards were ridiculously lopsided in favor of Hopkins, though, which I was pretty upset about.

I thought Wright clearly won the Vargas fight, and I had it 116-112 for Wright.

Regarding the Taylor fight, I initially scored it 114-114 and I haven't bothered watching it since. I felt that a draw was warranted, but if any fighter had more of a claim to the win, then it should've been Winky.

I'll get around to watching the Simon fight someday...

well he just got on top of him more like. he didnt do anything special he was just too big for the more lathargic fatter less snappier slower winky.

his jab wasnt as effective due to hopkins maulin ghim and that hopkins knew if he couild take winky's jab away wiinky would resort to flurries or to move away thus throw less punches.

a good statagy but he was hardley "smoked"

Did the Harry Simon fight take place in Simon's backyard or what?

If you track what was landing and what was landing on gloves, no one smoked anyone. I wasn't impressed by many of Hopkins flurries which were mainly landing on Winky's gloves.

I wasn't surprised to hear after the fight (stats weren't available on the coverage I had) that Wright had outlanded Hopkins.

    Judges' cards were a joke.

    More or less.

But it was a pretty close fight with a few swing rounds. The judges' 115-113 and 114-114 cards are tennable, though Erasmus' 117-113 was a bit extreme.
