If You Could Erase 1 Fight Off A Fighters Record Who & What Would It Be & Why?

I'd erase Lewis-Tyson. Seeing Mike receive a beating like that was not pleasant for any Tyson fan I imagine, but I'm a big Tyson fan. Always have been, always will be! He's the reason my passion for the sport started in the first place.

We can argue all day long about who would have won had the two fought nearer each other's peak, but for me, peak-peak, Tyson takes it all day long!

I wanted Tyson to win so much, but in my head, I knew he wasn't going to. In fact, I knew Lewis was the superior guy by miles when they actually fought.

The Sky Sports promotion was the worst, endlessly showing Tyson stopping the likes of Larry Holmes and Frank Bruno in the 80's - and overplaying how much of an upset it was losing to Holyfield.

By the end, one would have been thinking a six year old had booted the Statue of Liberty and it had gone over :nut

They had everyone fooled hyping the fight up, except for me. I was pretty much the only person picking Lewis by KO - everyone else was full of the 'Tyson is still Tyson' nonsense.

Having never particularly rated Tyson that highly, I would have picked Lewis at any stage based upon styles.... but whilst Lennox was past his best, he was FAR closer to his prime than Tyson had been in the previous 8 years.

 

Roy Jones fight against Glen Johnson. Just watching him take a beating. He didn't need to go through that..

 

I loved seeing Lewis KO Tyson it just seemed like sense prevailed over madness,good beat the bad.
Tyson was a great fighter who I love to watch in his prime but he turned ugly

He said himself that he couldn't blame anything and that he felt okey before and during the fight

 

Tyson said he wasnt ready to fight Lewis but somehow the fight was made anyway. That seemed disgusting.
