If you could erase Tyson's ear bite from history, would you?

Imagine that you could just snap your fingers and it never happened.

Would you do it? Or do you think it's an important enough part of boxing history that you wouldn't wipe it out of existence if you could?

if you could wipe it away you would see that tyson would have lost by ko in the third to evander. he was in trouble and that was his way out.

I'd say the average person knows Mike mostly as "that crazy guy who bit someone's ear off," which is obviously a shame. Also, you'd have to be a bit of a dick to let Evander get part of his ear bitten off by another human being when you have the power to erase said moment. So yeah, there's that.

On one hand, no, I wouldn't change it, because I bet on Holyfield. Saw nothing in their first fight to make me think Tyson wins the rematch. Holy basically owned him that entire fight, but for a few brief moments.

On the other hand, I would have preferred to see them fight it out and have the bout come to a more natural conclusion, which I suspect would have been very similar to the first fight, Holy by KO.

I feel differently. I feel like in America, moreso than any scandalized athlete, people remember what he did outside of the infamous incident.

Firstly, it's been driven into me a bit too hard by numerous allegories that altering history, if given the opportunity, is always a can of worms best left unopened, no matter how much good you think you might be doing.

Secondly, **** no. That **** was brilliant.

 Bull****. He ****ing deserved a little bite. It's not like the hearing or the whole ear was taken. It was just a warning nip. Like dogs will sometimes give you, if they have much foresight or are generally kind-hearted, but you're starting to seriously **** them off.

    Negative....

Tyson was the only time in his second career in the condition to go the full twelve without gassing....Holyfield did not get brave until Tyson ran out of steam in the latter rounds in their first encounter, so he might have won a decision but KO I don't think so, he barely standing Ko'ed the sleep walking fighter he met in the first fight.

Anyway, If Holyfield was so confident that he would stop him again he would not have used his head EVEN MORE then in the first fight........he obviously needed every help he could get, being it a foul or not to get the upper hand because he knew this time around he could not count on Mike running out of steam ...............

Anyway, he still could have won convincingly but it would have been far more difficult than the first time around because Tyson actually had a decent camp, trainer and corner.

Yes, although he was still down on the cards, there was a little more spark in tyson leading up to the bite, MAY have been intresting to see how the fight played out if Holy got sucked into a brawl...And as its been said before, mike was in top shape with a decent corner for the rematch

Tyson was better prepared in the second fight but mentally he was not prepared to go into trench warfare and thats what it was going to take to beat Evander.

I think when he took the Holyfield fight he thought he would hit him on the chin and it would be over.

He was going to have to fight like he did in the late 80s and early 90's and he never got back to that his entire comeback.
