Who would you choose and why?

You can say which fight you would film if you want.

Are we supposed to pick only one fight?

If so, then my pick would be first Bummy Davis vs Al Tribuani fight.

Today I would go for Langford's 19th round KO of Wills. That would be gooooood. What a good fight it sounds like. Wills on the canvas four times, nothing in it in terms of dominance and Langford ditches the giant with a classic left hook. Wow.

Tomorrow it'll probably be Moore-Burley again.

I knew you'd make an interesting pick. Why this one particularly? The Zivic win over Davis by DQ would be an intersting one too!

I picked this fight because I have always wanted to see Bummy in action, and have heard that this was one terrific fight even though he lost (their second bout was also a scorcher by all accounts).

His left hook is legendary for its power and torque, and as someone who counts such fellow left hook bombers as Eduardo Lausse, Florentino Fernandez and Eugene Hart among his favourites, I would be curious to see how Bummy threw that left of his.

And that Zivic/Davis fight sure sounds like it was a wild one, would have loved to have seen it. Two others I would have to see would be Bummy`s knockouts of Tony Canzoneri and Bob Montgomery, both men taken out with the left hook. Unfortunately, there is no known footage of Davis out there, and I doubt any will turn up.

I would film Ketchels KO win over Billy Papke. That was supposed to be his prime performance, he was actually in shape and well prepared.

I sort of implied that there should be no film of at least one of the fighters but I am prepared to stretch a point here.

I would not be able to decide but a few things would be going round in my mind-

I could have Peter Jackson vs Frank Slavin and kill two birds with one stone.

I could have one of Young Griffos fights, say against George Dixon.

The most historicaly usefull would probably be film of Jem Mace.

Hell why not have Cribb Molineux.

    Prime John L Sullivan?????????????????????

    Oh ****, so you did.

In that case i'll have Eddie Booker's ten round decision over Lloyd Marshall from 1942. Booker was a master. I wonder how good Booker was. Eddie was never stopped. He sounds like a genius.

Spotlight ended up on Burley though, somehow, probably because Booker did most of his business on the other coast, I don't know.

There. Now i've picked 2 fights

That's a wonderful choice. You'd need a strong stomach though.
