Err do you know how hard it would be to become a top 10 ATG in this era while still actively fighting? :patsch

And being ranked in ATG list is an opinion, it holds no truth, it ain't based on fact and can be influenced by bias.

With FLoyd's skillset, he should be close, even still fighting. Imagine he had those fights on his resume. A lock top ten

It takes a lot more to make a fight these days. It not Like Mayweather is just some dictator who control's everything in the sport. He had a promoter too for most of career.

And second of all, most of those fighters do nothing for his resume because they just aren't that good. People only overrated them as a challenge so that they can accuse Mayweather of avoiding them, when in reality some of them were bums like Margarito, and Williams.

Errr no, still not even close, you rank the guys on that list to highly. He could have beaten all them guys and he still wouldn't make top 10.

    Typical *******.

    Don't know **** about boxing.

They were the most established champs and fighters from 140-147 from his era. He missed fighting almost all of them. If he seriously wanted them, they could've been made

There was never an offer to fight Tsuys as they were on different networks, and Floyd went on to KO the man who stopped Tsuyu.

Mosley himself turned down a fight with Floyd in 06/07 because of a tootache.

Williams got spanked by Quintana and didn't deserve a a Floyd fight.

Floyd fought lineal WBC, IBF, Ring WW Champion over Margarito. Baldomir had the higher pedigree after just beating the lineal undisputed champ of the division.

And Arum killed the Marg and Cotto fights because he was cheap and told Floyd he wasn't gonna do the DLH fight.

The only worthy opponent on this list is Pacquiao.

having Tszyu, Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams and Pacquiao to go with Mosley and Hatton from 140-147, to go with his super feather and lightweight, he would be talked about as a top ten no doubt

this is a ******ed fanboy reasoning. so would floyd fighting guys like mitchell, bruseles and gatti or floyd going on vacation is much better for floyd's resume instead of fighting guys listed above?

How did I know this thread would degenerate into *****s appearing to say NONE of these fights were possible... :dead

When the question isn't about whether they were possible or not, it's about saying HYPOTHETICALLY which opponent you would've most liked to see Mayweather fight, and explain why. Which fight between Floyd and a fighter from his welterweight generation that you'd have found most interesting.

But such a thread isn't possible when you have insanely biased fanboy troll morons like Bladegunner around, desperately defending Floyd against attacks that NO-ONE IS ACTUALLY MAKING. :rofl

This is a claim so utterly ludicrous that it should be analysed by scientists in order to discover a new level of stupidity in primates.

Pacquiao for me and probably Cotto and Williams after that.

Sad that Floyd never fought these guys. He would have outclassed them all out from Pac but think he would have beat him as well..

Not ludicrous idiot. Marg, Cotto, and Williams aren't all that great. He fought Mosley, and the Tsuyu fight was beyond his control.

The only for sure superfight on that list is Pac.

It is not utterly ludicrous, the guy is responding to the claim that beating the guys you put on your list would have made floyd a sure lock for a top 10 ATG ranking.

That is ****ing ludicrous and flipping ******* logic from someone who has not been following the sport for a long time.
