i didnt say laptop brown bomber did, no my point was knowledge is needed, if you just go out and just hit a heavy bag as your only training youll last 30 seconds before being k.o'd all thats going to happen is youll pick up bad habbits.

so are you trying to say the best way to learn how to box is to watch youtube videos and if you watch lots of youtube videos about how to box you wont get ko'd in 30 seconds.

I think the best way to learn how to box is to get a trainer and practise what he has taught you on the HEAVYBAG.

WTF is wrong with people these days, since when has watching videos on youtube made you better then actually going and hitting a punching bag. Are you going to say next the nintendo wii boxing is better then actual sparing

i have seen plenty of fighter who are not technically perfect and may have some bad habit but still succeed in boxing. Probably most likely because they where busy hitting the heavy bag and not studying there laptop on how to box videos.

very true :good But you could class hand wraps as apparel as opposed to equipment.

Im going to go out on a limb and say I would choose my speed ball.
I always seem to put my speedball up first when i move house, i enjoy using it, and the repetitve rattle annoys the neighbours nicely.

I dont really train seriously anymore, and use my bags for fitness purposes only. Im sure the heavy bag would be your first choice if you had to have one piece of equipment, and were training to fight.

The worste way to learn is just by hitting a heavy bag, you need a knowledge of technique and strategy, so a laptop would be best if a trainer isnt possible and i would say someone with a better knowledge of technique and strategy is going to wreck someone thats just been hitting a heavy bag any old way with no instruction on teachnique, bad habits is the only thing youll be training, just smashing a heavy bag is for boxercise types not really for someone wanting to actually fight and be effective at it.
