The most exciting fighters historically have been who? Gatti, Basilio, Ali, Holyfield, Saad Muhammad, Frazier, Tyson, Louis, Marciano, Graziano, and Robinson.

Of those guys, most of Tyson's best fights only last a round or two, and Gatti delivers slugfests but little skill; so they are out. Basilio's style just doesn't do it for me for some reason, so he's gone too. Most of the best of Frazier you get automatically with Ali, so he's out. Graziano's up there largely because of his trilogy with Zale and only three rounds of that was even filmed, so he's out. Which leaves Ali, Holyfield, Saad Muhammad, Louis, Marciano, and Robinson. Now, it's getting hard. All of these guys fought everyone relevant in their division.

Part of me wants to go with Robinson, because he's exemplary at everything and he has more fights than the other guys so there would be more to watch. You get some Basilio and Graziano gratis for choosing him. On the one hand, Louis and Marciano both have Charles and Walcott, but Marciano's fights were a little more exciting. However Louis still has a gang of guys Marciano doesn't have: Schmeling, Baer, Galento, Carnera, Godoy. But none of those is as good as the Ali/Frazier trilogy. Not even Holyfield vs Bowe is that good.

If I were to make a decision between Louis, Robinson, and Ali just on the amount of footage available of them I would have to go with Ali. There's twice as much Robinson as Louis, and half again as much Ali.

    Ali

If I could only watch one fighter, then he most likely would not have an opponent and would be standing in the ring by themself....by virtue of this....If I am going to look at one lone person in a ring, perhaps over and over again....

    I choose Mia St. John

I was thinking JJW, Lloyd Marshall, Charles among others, but this makes far more sense... who were her TOP "looking" opponents :hey.

for me it would be Gene Tunney or Harry Greb. Actually the 5 fights they had with each other I would choose of a list if I could.
