If you could reverse one fight in history, what would it be?

Someone said Klitschko v. Lewis. Great call. I would just like to see the referee/doctor in California not stop and ruin that excellent fight, and allowed it to continue to its natural conclusion. They tend to stop them way too fast in California. Klit was ahead on the cards and could see just fine and was begging to be allowed to continue. Cuts are just cosmetic. He was going to need stitches regardless. He should have been allowed to continue.

Tommy should have gotten the deserved decision against Leonard he was owed.

My pick Ruiz vs Golota. Golota knocked him down twice, landed more punches, Ruiz was penalized a point, and Golota still got robbed. Andrew Golota should have been awarded the WBA heavyweight title that night.
It would have been nice to see Golota win a big fight in his career especially after always finding a way to lose in big crucial fights.

Wow, some great answers guys. I'm impressed. Tom "Roughhouse" Fischer...I remember him...and that's digging deep! Berbick-Page and Ruiz-Golota are surprises, too.

Another reason I picked Ali-Norton III is because I feel the 70's are unfairly recalled as "The Ali Decade", when in fact heavyweight dominion was shared between several guys with contrasting styles. If Norton had won, this fact would've been cemented. Instead, most passers-by on the street just think of it as "The Ali Decade".

That fight could have been made anywhere and mucho money would have been made.

This was Don King's true first venture into the "big time".

It was advertised as "you must see it on PPV because a replay film will never be shown afterwards".

Foreman gets cut in sparring, and goes thru with the fight anyway 30 days later. Ali said he would fight Foreman and not hit the cut.

A whiff of bad odor started coming out of Africa before the fight.

Strange things happened around that fight across the board.

Foreman's management didn't protect Foreman very well.

Yeah, George wanted to leave the country after the cut, but they wouldn't let him. The eye swelled up quickly in the fight. Foreman was basically abused by a whole continent, like a bull tormented before facing the matador.

In hindsight, Rudkin vs Olivares reversed.

That would add some great colour to the mix. 2 brilliant attempts (Jap & Oz), and finally a win over the most dynamic of the bunch.

Come bed time, even Cinderalla would be reading the Alan Rudkin story,

    Hagler v Hearns.

If not for Hagler and Barkley then Hearns' legacy would be far better remembered. A third round KO over Hagler would put Tommy much closer to the top 10 ATG's.

i agree. hopkins exposed calzaghe as a fraud who fed off of slow stationary opponents and premature stoppages. calzaghe didn't deserve to retire undefeated. he fought no one, but hopkins. and even then he needed a split decision.
