If you could reverse one fight in history, what would it be?

With all the fights in history where fighters have been killed or permanently crippled and put into lefe-changing comas, I'm surprised people would choose to overturn a mere loss to save their hero's pride or boost his reputation.
Then again, which guy to save ?

MSG , LA , Eichfield , Maryland , and a few other places could have been nice , and a fighter's trainer must be supervised upon entering the ring's area , and both fighters' trainers and teams must be allowed to check the ring just like Nassem Richardson was (and must have been) allowed to check Chito's and Margachito's handwraps and gloves.

Ali would have been brutally KOd after being systematically abused.
Not to mention someone should have at least penalized him for his holding behind the head .

Alex Ramos' loss to Ted Sanders. He still may have turned out to be a dud, but he definitely would've gotten further than what he did.

I just remembered this one. Louis Resto and Billy Collins. Collins suffered a huge beating that night against Resto because Panama Lewis tampered with the gloves and removed much of the padding.

Collins was never the same after that for many reasons, some not related to what happened in the ring that night, but it effectively sidetracked his career and aided in his death. Resto is now living with the shame and guilt over what was done for the sake of a win that night. I'm sure he'd like to go back and take a mulligan on that one.

Resto strikes me as a guy who would be easy to manipulate by someone he respects. If Lewis had given him a shiv and told him to cut Collins, he probably would have done it. thats no excuse but just the impression I get of the guy.

Agreed, but with age and time, people change and I think Resto truly regrets what took place than night.

I don't feel sorry for the guy, but he did throw everything away due to that fight. He never would have been more than he was in his career, a journeyman, but that was taken away from him because of his acceptance of what Panama Lewis dictated he should do. It pisses me off that Lewis is still involved in boxing and accepts no responsibility for anything concerning the Resto/Collins fight.

Tyson vs. Holyfield II: It would have boosted Tyson's resume and ranking by beating Evander. The first fight didn't mean as much pre-fight in terms of legacy but the 2nd did.

I'd give Whitaker the decision by a wide margan over Chavez.

Yeah, I was thinking more along the line of correcting robberies, but this would be the noblest thing to do. Griffin-Parret, I guess. That fight could've just been stopped much earlier, too.

Guess it's easier to say when your favorite fighter doesn't have a loss. :yep

I expected more Ali-Frazier III as people get emotional over that one. A similar thread had a lot of those as answers.

    Lewis vs Klitschko

I would have liked to see how this fight would have turned out if lewis have had more time to prepare himself

Muhammad Ali Vs Trevor Berbick/larry Holmes

Would have loved to see these fights when Ali was still in his prime. He would have destroyed Berbick and would probably have won against Holmes

    Golota vs Bowe

would be great if Golota hadn't self destructed

Has Armstrong-Garcia II been mentioned? I thought that would be the most obvious one.
