    which one would it be?
Mine would be Tunney-Greb, the first one. There are so many that I would love to see. I sometimes get sad thinking about it. Anyway, which one guys?

    I would prefer Greb-Walker over Greb-Tunney I.

I would love to sit and watch all of them, but ones that stand out in my mind are...Tunney-Greb (all 5), Greb-Flowers (all 3), Greb-Norfolk (both), Greb-Walker, Greb-J. Chip (both), etc.

Yes this is true, but according to many newspapers and other witnesses to the second and third fights, Greb may very well have deserved the wins. I would like to see those fights for that reason.

The fact that Greb fought around 300 fights and was still able to make middleweight in his last fight, speaks volumes about his dedication. He certainly wasn't of this, "The Lazy American era".

I would like to see any fight of the Pittsburgh Windmill, but there is ONE fight I would ,for personal reasons,LOVE to see...The night was May 23,1922,at MSG., against Gene Tunney, when Greb gave Tunney his only defeat...Why was that fight special to me?.Because my father was at that fight, and I always fantasize, seeing him in the audience, wondering how he looked at the age of 23 years old?.I can dream, can't I?...

Wow, so your pops was there? That is amazing! What did he tell you about the fight? I was just remarking to my wife and mother today, how I bet no one is still alive who saw any of his fights. I could be wrong about that, but I am only speculating. And if you father is deceased, then please forgive me for bringing up a sore subject for you.

Anyway, I have never met anyone who even knows anyone who saw Greb fight. Not that I know of, anyway. So how were your dad's seats? Did he get to meet either fighter? Tell me about it guy, come on.

Abdullah, thanks for interest...As I have written in other posts, my father was a cabbie who worked the Greenwich Village NY area...He was an avid fight fan during that golden age...Tunney was from Greenwich Village so my father and some cabbie friends went to the Tunney/Greb fight...When I was old enough to understand he would tell me time and time again, that the"worst beating he ever saw a main event fighter take, was Gene Tunney's terrible beating at the hands of the 13 pound lighter Greb" So much blood... Today the bout would have been stopped in the middle rounds...He saw many of the greater fighters then, as I many years later, but he ALWAYS said that the greatest fighter heEVER saw was Harry Greb, even after he and I watche Sugar Ray Robinson, in his welterweight prime for what its worth...Hope I shed some light....
