...you need a watertight defence, or glass is getting shattered when you fight a skilled, hard-hitting opponent. That's what we've seen again, tonight.

Lol they said Cleverly has a granite chin

Kovalev isn't just a hard hitter but a great boxer... Quality work.. from round 2 he was forcing cleverly come to him...

    He is indeed.

He can (and eventually will) be beaten, but it'll be by a true slickster.

  5. Cleverly has a better chin than Mariusz Wach.

Of course you do realize that by saying Cleverly has a glass jaw you are undermining the power that Kovalev has.

Kovalev is a big hitter, there's no question of that. However, boxers with truly solid jaws don't get steamrolled at their optimal weight in that fashion.

However, I will concede that I should have omitted the word 'glass' in order to avoid confusion. There are different grades of it, and Cleverly's certainly isn't Khan-China, but it's shaky, and we'll see further proof of that before long.

Cleverly has a good chin but Kovalev hits like a bus, why is everyone trying to make Kovalev's power look weaker? They scared for BHop or something? lol

Hopkins' chin has unquestionably slipped; Kovalev, as a legitimate big hitter, would likely stop him.

Hopkins will NEVER get close to kovalev and with good reason. he'll stick to the pascauls and clouds of the game.

no disrespect to Clevely, but his business acumen proved far more shaky than his chin

  12. Hopkins will duck Kovalev, like Martinez will duck GGG.

    Europe takes boxing over!!

**** me. Yep, Clev's chin is glass, and Kov's punches are featherdust.

    Night tweenies.

Not fair to Cleverly, I a afraid. How many LHW would have withstood those punches?
