If Mayweather moved up to 154, was a favorite, and beat DLH and everyone is screaming no way in hell should Cotto go up to 154 to fight DLH, as he would not be a favorite by a longshot, who do you think is the better boxer between Mayweather and Cotto? Analyze your emotions, though they are strong.

 

Floyd is a fighter with lots of speed. He was able to move up to 154 and still hold on to that speed.

Cotto on the other hand had very quick counter punching ability with some fast hands at 140lbs. He moved up to 147 and turned into the incredible hulk strength wise but I personally feel he isn't as nimble or quick as he was at 140. With that said If Cotto moved up to 154 I'd think he'd easily lose a little bit more of his speed and you don't want that because if you lose your speed the impact at the end of that punch can diminish.

It is clear to see that Cotto would have a harder time at 154 than Floyd because once your speed starts diminshing as a boxer then you're just a shell of your former self.

You're dreaming man. I'm not saying Mosley won, I don't even care. I think it was a close fight tht could have gone either way, and like both fighters more after it.

That being said, even though it was technically a split decision, there is no way in HELL that the fight on May 5 was as close as Cotto-Mosley.

That is truly just RIDICULOUS.

The only reason that fight was a SD anyway is because Tommy Kaczmarek is ****ing blind or senile or something like that. If memory serves he scored a round for DLH in which Floyd outlanded Oscar like 3:1 or something like that. Ridiculous ****.

 

And btw, beating someone to the punch isn't all about hand speed. I mean come on. Carlos Baldomir beat Zab Judah to the punch too, but he's one of the SLOWEST cats out there. Sheesh...

He has no character, he's boring. He is pretty good at everything but great at nothing.
I just can't get behind someone so dull.

I get behind fighters with personality and an interesting backstory.

You say Cotto doesn't do anything great? Cotto is a GREAT body puncher, a GREAT overall puncher, and a GREAT technical pressure fighter.

 

Well...I guess he is actually a really good body puncher but still, I don't understand how people can be so devoted to a guy with zero charisma.
I have never seen a sportsman so dull and void of a personality as Cotto.

I can respect him as a fighter but for me to like him and support him he needs to be a bit more interesting than a dishwasher.
