If you dont support a fighter do you always wish for the upset?

I always find myself wanting the latvian journeymen to score the upset against the well promoted prospect or novice.

I was willing Karpency to starch Cleverly just so that Karpency would reign as champion for at least one night as it would be funny. (I realise this wouldn't have been a big upset due to Karpency being p4p material)

When it's a fighter I support I want them to win at all costs but anyone else and I want the upset.

    Anyone else like this?

    :deal

I love watching an underdog giving it everything they have, even when they're falling short.

Nah not really that assed tbh, sometimes it's epic to watch the underdog come through, it's got great emotion in it. By the same token though it's great to see fighters who are the stuff of greatness do what makes them great, it's majestic and ****.

Not just in boxing, but in pretty much every sport where I don't have a favourite I always find myself wanting the underdog to win.

Yeah I'm the same. Especially if it's a prospect I don't care for who's fighting someone who is supposed to be an easy, routine win to make him look good. It's incredibly dull. An upset would shake things up, get people talking, and sometimes get boxing in the back pages e.g. Khan/Prescott.

The cleverly fight was the perfect example. Karpency never had a chance. An easy, routine win as expected, and it was boring as anything.

Khan is one of the fighters I support so I don't share your feelings on this one.
