I wouldn't try to clean up the sport because it is impossible. It's like trying to win the war against terrorism or the war against drugs.:good I wouldn't set up a TV channel, because a TV channel dedicated only to boxing would take a lot more than 100m to make boxing popular. Not only that, but there are plenty of TV channels out there who show boxing events to millions around the world. I would use 75% to promote tournaments (a bit like the super 6) involving up-and-coming prospects/ young champs with little visibility in exchange for a share of their future income. :good The other 25% I would use to set up boxing schools in really poor, violent areas around the world and help promote the most talented fighters that fight their way through.:good
I would buy Mike Tyson a little annuity for his retirement. Donate a couple hundred thousand to a political party to get Lennox knighted and then use the rest to put together a massive entourage that can rival that of Chisora.
I'd set up a promotional stable, and do exactly what every other promoter currently does. Business wise, that would be the smartest thing to do. Because £100 mill isn't near enough to do the things I, as a fan, would want to do. ****, £100 mill wouldn't even be enough to start a successful promotional company.
I'd want that 100M to grow quickly so I'd invest it all in Boxnation. In 18 months it'll be worth 500M and then I can really get to work.
buy the ring magazine and the regional belts such as the european, british.american etc. charge fighters, promoters, managers an annual registration fee to be included in rankings etc make there be an incentive for winning each belt say a million for the ring, 10k for the brit, 40k for the european and a smaller one for defending against the number 1 contender.refs, judges would be assigned and paid by the organisation and be reviewed.overtime decrease the number of weight classes. any money leftover would be invested to fund the organisation in the future
Yes the financial value, I know the WBC is supposed to be a non-profit org roll but I remember when the WBC were fined 30 Million Dollars for essentially going against their own rules by (re: Rocchigiani) they were in serious trouble.
