    Understood. Esp about the personalities. My friend is an MMA guy who is turning to boxing. Im digging up fights for him to watch before we start training. I'm thinking of action packed fights for him to watch. Back and forth drama.

    You want a kind of a mezze. You want to demonstrate in equal measure both the beauty and the brutality in boxing, as well as the pure excitement if your intention is to create a true fan. Five of my favourites which spring to mind, all since 1990 in fact, to cover these would be, to be watched in this order:

    Barrera - Morales I
    Gatti - Ward I
    Vasquez - Marquez III
    Toney - McCallum I

    and finally, a dark horse from left field, which is both topsy turvy and inclusive of a Hollywood ending:

    A fan of boxing or brawls??? or are they same thing????

    If I am trying to get a new person involved I am going to pick action/skill...something in color (B & W is for us hard core fans)...and a charismatic personality and semi-reognizable name.

    Agreed. You can't appreciate Toney v McCallum until you have a knowledge base of the sport.

    I like the suggestion of Tua v Ibeabuchi. He will enjoy that for sure. The first fight that I gave him was Duran v Barkley. He loved that, but he REALLY liked Barkley v Toney for some reason.

    I still think that Lockridge v Toney the Tiger is the best fight I've ever seen. Probably because I'm from Sacramento...
